Davies Geotechnical Inc. is a leading consultant in the design of Vancouver retaining wall systems. We pride ourselves on being at the leading edge of technical expertise with respect to the design of retaining wall systems. Retaining Walls are often required in sloping areas in order to develop level platforms for building construction or to retain the edges of roadways and service corridors.
Land values are at a premium in the Lower Mainland and consequently development has pushed out to the outlying areas where the topography is more challenging. The landslides which occurred in the Lower Mainland in 2007 resulted in a renewed commitment from engineering professionals and the local and provincial governments in providing the public with services and assurance that the land is safe for residential development.
Davies Geotechnical Inc has completed the design of numerous deep excavations within the Lower Mainland, and several in Alberta. These excavations have ranged in depth from 10 feet to 85 feet below grade level. Recently (2013 and 2014) we have completed the temporary excavations for the Evergreen Line Project and the Solo District Project in Burnaby.
