Grabbed takeout here during Covid times. Was craving some noodles. The interior was sectioned off for only take-out (August), and overall a little dingy feeling.
Ordered Singapore-style Fried Rice Noodles. Food was very OK. Taste was a little on the bland side, and a little too much green pepper for my liking. That being said, it satisfied my noodle craving, and there's really not much else for Cantonese style food in the city.
Really more of a 2 star, but +1 for Kingston Cantonese food.

Came in mid-afternoon during the week - with no one in restaurant - looked like they may have been preparing for dinner traffic. Friendly staff with quick service
So taking that into mind ordered a combo plate / egg roll / hot sour soup - it was all served piping hot and with decent speed considering. Chicken fried rice in combo could had been around for a while and wasn't great.
Everything else was okay - not especially tasty but it did fill the need. I'd consider giving it a chance while it's busier as there are tons of google reviews the reason originally gave it a try.

I have been in Kingston Ontario for about 3 weeks now and I was craving Chinese food real bad so I looked around and found Kai's Delight...The restaurant isn't your typical big restaurant but the food is delicious and authentic enough. I have to say that from the outside the restaurant is very easy to miss because it's somewhat hidden. The inside decor is very basic with enough tables and chairs. The food was fairly decent, cheap, and the portion is GOOD! I ordered a couple of dishes and they arrived in a timely manner...Overall, I would definitely go back there to check out some

I've only ever ordered delivery from Kai's. The food is decent but the americanized chinese dishes aren't very good and if that's the food you're craving I'd suggest to check elsewhere. This is the place to get the chef's speciality or the less americanized dishes. The customer service is great, the delivery guy was so friendly and I got a free egg roll and a bunch of fortune cookies in addition to my order. I will still order from here but only when I am craving specific dishes.

The owner, and his family are lovely people. Their cuisine even more so. The Devore is the sole reason I cannot give a 5 star review. In spite of the Devore, they still provide a warm and hospitable place to have a meal. They suit all tastes from my Shanghai bred partner, to my Jamaican spice loving Caucasian self. From spicy to simply savory, there it something to please all pallets. The value is also commendable.

For years I have had to put up with Canadian Chinese food. Finally a place with a touch more authenticity. I always ask for the house special fried rice with NO soy sauce. That is a very N.American version, and it ruins the flavor. But this store does have to sell what it's customers want. So glad I can order real fried rice. Occasionally the stir frys are a bit soupy. A touch more corn starch thickener would turn this review to a 5.

Yay, finally a decent Chinese restaurant in Kingston. Love this place (and I'm Chinese). They had tripe when they first opened (I was super excited), but sadly it has been taken off the menu due to its low popularity. Anyway, I digress. Authentic flavours in the "real" Chinese dishes, good prices and super friendly service. There's also free parking in the back. The decor is so-so, but it's clean - which for me - is the only thing that matters in the presence of deliciousness. I wouldn't say it's the best Chinese food I've ever tasted, but Kai&apos
