Limited menu selection. Trying too hard to be 'granola-healthy' with way too many unique ingredients, most diahes with mushroons. Only thing I would eat was the short ribs. Dry. Fries were good. For $29 not worth it. Cheapest bottle wine was high forties then jumps almost $30 for the next option.
Supposedto be a quick meal before a show at Centre in the Square. I'd look at other options next time

We are staying at the Walper and one of the front desk staff recommended that we check out TWH Social.
So glad we did... great, fun and chatty staff, trendy decor, and the food!!!! I couldn't decide..so our server chose and I was given the brisket burger ... I never order burgers when I go out...but wow this one was incredible!!! ..it had been recommended by 2 different people for very good reason
And a surprise dessert for our anniversary 😊

I was staying in the Walper Hotel and got a text letting me know about the wine special (half price!) on that night. I wandered down to find that it was three different bottles on offer - and went with the Tinfish merlot which was on for $25 a bottle. Outstanding. A concerned and well-meaning server pointed out to me that a bottle of wine isn't exactly dinner and impressed upon me the importance of balance. I wasn't incredibly hungry so the calamari puttanesca came out as a suggestion, and it was perfect - really good in fact. I then had a couple of pints from their great craft selection

Visited The Walper Hotel Social for a quick business lunch for the first time on a Thursday afternoon, so no expectations.
Seemed a bit more on the posh end (comparing to dtown Toronto or NYC resty/hotel where I've had similar meetings). Can't compare it to them or else it would be a 2 star review.
On its own, definitely would visit again when passing through. Decent food and beverage selections with specials. Staff were courteous and intelligent, seemed to be knowledgeable about their offerings.
Hopefully their burger is a good as they think. Had the shrimp pasta - which is what I happened

I came here with my boyfriend for some apps and drinks. We were staying at the Walper hotel and this is kind of their restaurant so it was super convenient to eat here.
Drinks kind of pricey, not crazy but not cheap.
I loved the menu. You can tell they switch it up often and what they have they do well.
We ended up getting the "roasted tomato and goat cheese bruschetta" and the " black pepper calamari". Bother we're amazing tasting, but the portion size was real small. Like not even half a squid and 3 half pieces of toast all around.
However I saw some mains coming

Great dining room for my home away from home at Walper. The food is savory and tasty, uses solid ingredients, and is delivered by a wait staff that make every effort to make guests feel at home and well taken-care of from start to finish. Danielle greeted my during my last visit, after arriving straight from a cross-continental flight, and remembered me as soon as I walked in months later. I couldn't feel like more of the family! Two hearty thumbs up for the food, and three for the staff, especially Darnell, Danielle, and Taylor. Kudos!f

Very contemporary atmosphere, great for a date, or to catch up with a friend and there are larger areas for groups too.
I've been here many times, and while the food is usually high quality and delicious, the portions are awfully small. One day recently, the waiter rhymed off the list of daily specials and suggested a fish dish, which I ordered. When it arrived, I was struck by how tiny it was, essentially a fish stick in a basic tomato sauce bed. Quite dry and tasteless too. When I got the bill and discovered it was $30, I wondered why this would be recommended as a special. In short

This place was completely dead when we went and I couldn't believe it after we'd had the food!
The location is downtown, which is cool, but it is downstairs, so it can be a little claustrophic.
There were no vegan items on the menu, so we talked the server who talked to chef and he created a vegan meal on the spot for me, which was to die for. The service was great, the food was yummy. Loved the atmosphere.

We just went there for the drink. The place is underground, which looks very mysterious. The restaurant is spectacular inside. The restaurant design is really unique and beautiful. As well as the bar. We ordered 3 or 4 cocktails. Tried almost the specials. The cocktails are really good. When we had no ideas for order, the server gave us the really useful suggestions. Their advices really in accordance with what I am wondering. The service was really perfect. We will back to this place someday.

I was in there tonight with a group of 10 from work. We made a reservation in advance as it was a group outing & we weren't sure how busy it would be. I arrived a little later than most, but settled in - to my surprise with a smaller menu. Apparently as we were a group, we were given a more limited menu, which I'm surprised we weren't informed about when we made the reservation. Our waiter allowed a few of us to order of the original dinner menu, however he made it seem as if he was doing us a favour.
Overall throughout the night he continued to make comments that made it seem

Came on Monday night for their $5 mussel bowls and was not disappointed. A classy restaurant that's great for a date night - not too crowded and the space is quite comfortable. As for their daily deal, they offer three flavor profiles (not sure if it's different on a weekly basis): white wine and garlic, creamy coconut Thai, and beer and bacon (which sounds odd but definitely the best flavor!) While the portions aren't huge (counted 13 mussels in a bowl), it was satisfying enough for me to get two portions. My friends didn't feel the same and had to get more food afterwards

Went here for dinner and drinks with a girlfriend on a Saturday night this winter. LOVED it. Our waiter and bartender (Ryan) made the whole experience. We had 5 or 6 cocktails (some of which we let them choose) and had the charcuterie board and salads. Food was awesome. Place wasn't buy at all though. It's in the bottom of he hotel but doesn't feel like it, I just wish it was on the main level because in the summer I hate being indoors.
Went back again for brunch in a Saturday and place was empty again. Different staff but food was still good.
