Services
Dr. Neal Mortensen and Dr. Frances Skinazi met at The University of Western Ontario Dental School and graduated and got married in June of 1996. They both started their dental careers in Hamilton but moved north of Toronto when they started their family so they could be closer to their parents, brothers, sisters, and cousins.
Dr. Mortensen has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. As well as general dentistry, he loves to learn and expand his dental knowledge and skills. Dr. Mortensen has taken extensive courses on implants and invisalign, and has made many patients happy with these advanced skills. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Neal loves to ski, has a current obsession with nutrition, and thoroughly enjoys being an on-call chauffeur for his four children.
Many orthodontic treatments like dental Invisalign are available for overbite correction. Opting to have it can be a great option for your dental health. However, you may have limited information about what it exactly does and if it's a better alternative to braces. You can use Invisalign for bite correction and crooked teeth.
Our office is conveniently located in Newmarket on Yonge Street, just north of Mulock (right beside the Midas Muffler). We offer plenty of free parking and are accessible by major bus routes. When you arrive at our office, you'll be greeted by our friendly staff and are welcome to enjoy a hot beverage, TV, newspaper or magazines, and kids play area while you wait.
General dental services include basic care and instruction in oral hygiene habits essential for helping to maintain good oral health. Routine dental care includes at least two checkups each year. Each checkup may include a comprehensive examination, cleaning and x-rays. These are all beneficial for discovering any potential problems.

The friendliest and most professional dental office I have ever dealt with. The hygienists are all great. Dr. Mortensen and Dr. Skinazi are both excellent dentists and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Mortensen even made the removal of my wisdom teeth a simple, quick, and pain-free procedure. How many people can say that? I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I had bad experiences going to the dentist in the past and that made me a chicken when it came to going to the dentist. Dr. Skinazi was great with me. She understood my fears and was incredibly patient, as was her assistant Christy (sic?). All of the other staff are friendly and inviting. My visits were great and the outcomes were even better. Can't recommend them enough.

Disappointed and will not be returning. I read the review by Claude and am glad to know it's not just me! I had several fillings replaced in December and since then had an issue with another tooth. I was made feel like an inconvenience when I came back to have it checked out. Bottom line is I have gone elsewhere. This office is disorganized and the dentists are poor communicators.

I've had the opportunity to see both Dr Skinazi and Dr Mortensen. They are both excellent and skilled dentists (and most importantly, gentle) Their staff and hygienists are equally professional and lovely to deal with. . I can't recommend this clinic enough. I come from Toronto to Newmarket to see them. They are worth the drive for excellent dental care.

I have been going to Keep 28 for over 25 years now. The staff are wonderful! They even called me one time to let me know they were running just a little bit late, and to me that is very important, when you're leaving work for an appointment! Rather than sitting waiting, I was able to continue working. That shows me that they value MY time. Going to the dentist is not what anyone looks forward to, but they make it a very pleasurable experience, I would highly recommend Keep 28!

I have been going to see my dentist Neal Mortenson for many years and the service has always been excellent. Alice, my dental hygienist has me on a regular schedule of tooth and gum management which is probably why I only see Neal for check ups and to say hello. I would highly recommend this dental office.

I hate dentists, but I love going to Keep 28. They have the best staff around, every single one of them is a pleasure to deal with and they make you forget you're in a dentist office. I honestly enjoy the time I spend there and my teeth are happy I go so often. I highly recommend this dental ofice! You guys rock!
