Morley's father, Arnold Stephen, first opened Stephen's Meat and Grocery Store near the bridge in Port Carling in 1927. This closed in 1971 when the land was expropriated to allow for the new two lane bridge through the centre of town. Morley took the meat cutting equipment back to his small home garage and set up shop.
