This place is an absolute West End Gem!!! They have by far my absolute favourite wonton soup I’ve ever tasted!! Quick service! I always order from them when I’m at work (I work in the area) and my food is always here quickly!

My husband and I love the vegetarian menu here, our favourite in Winnipeg. The owner is very nice and great service. Our favourite dishes are the deep fried mushrooms, wontons with chilli garlic sauce, deluxe wonton soup, vegetarian beef with ginger and onions, deep fried chow mein. Never disappoints!

This place is the most disgusting place my friends have ever eaten, they are Chinese food lovers and their visit there was not good. No condiments, or sauses, one napkin to share. Raw Cabbage was the vegetable served to them. When asking for something they were told what they would get and not what they wanted. No milk only pop. When ordering they were told it would take to long to cook so had to have what was offered. VERY DISGUSTED.

Ordered for the first time on Friday after work and it was amazing. Best shrimp I've ever had, the batter was wonderful. My husband's vegetarian shrimp were just as good. Huge vegetarian menu with so many amazing options. Looking forward to trying lots of items on both menus in the future.
I read a review complaining that the lunch feature price went up from $6.99 to $8 - please remember that food is going up and businesses/restaurants are struggling. It's a $1 increase. A Big Mac meal costs more. :-)

A friend took me here a few days ago and I loved the lunch combos. I had the honey garlic chicken combo. Then came the next day for lunch with another friend because I had to share with her about this place since she also didn't know about it. Had the lemon chicken combo. Came with either wonton or consomme soup. Very inexpensive and service is fast. Food came out quick. Food was hot. Great discovery!

I'm in Winnipeg for work and googled food nearby. This place has great reviews so I took a chance. Great lunch spot and amazing price! $6.95 for the lunch special. It comes with a choice of wonton soup or a rice soup, main dish (Wed was shrimp or honey garlic chicken), fried rice & veggies. It was tasty and filling! The service was friendly. Only issue was I was asked what I wanted to order as soon as I was seated. Didn't get a chance to see what was offered. I'm assuming they have regulars here who know the lunch specials. But other than that service was great and the food came

This is my favourite restaurant for Vegan food in Winnipeg. It has a fully Vegan menu alongside their regular menu. The best "compromise" restaurant in town!! I order the #101A Deluxe Vegetarian Wonton Soup and ask them to add the Spicy Peanut Noodle Soup broth, for a few extra $, it is a game changer!!

Nice little restaurant with tasty food. Good choices of different dishes and side-orders. Friendly staff. Chairs and tables are looking worn and could do with a replacement. Still that does not mean it is less tasty to eat there. The prices are absolutely ok and make frequent visits possible and recommenmendable. They also derbe nice tea.

Spring Roll is AMAZING, this restaurant has been around for years, different owners but same awesome food.
Used to go there for lunch when I was in high school, food was delicious and reasonably priced and was there Friday evening and food is still just as delicious and reasonably priced. The main difference is the place is bigger now and its still small.. lol quaint and worth the trip.

Wonderful food.

I had the ginger beef and it was amazing. I would definitely order from here again. Honey garlic chicken balls were fantastic as well.

A perfect hidden gem in the city.

The Spring Roll Restaurant has appealing lunch specials. Although the building is short on curb appeal the dining room is clean and spacious. There is clearly a lot of pride taken in keeping things is good order. The food is decent, it's about what you'd expect from the average local Chinese food place that goes for the average price. The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive. I personally only ever go when it'd dead and have a bowl of soup while they get my order together so I can't say what having an entire meal at the restaurant would be like. The quality of the food in a take out basis

Ordered 5 dishes for pick up. Was ready fast. Super tasty. Highly recommended the lemon chicken, deluxe chow mein and ginger beef. The black bean beef was good but little on the salty side. The service was super friendly. Looks like they have an affordable lunch special which I would like to try. Great portions and tasty food - will order again.

Hadn't been to Spring Roll in probably 10 years, which is too bad. Many lunch specials under $8.00, all look great. Ginger chicken was delicious. 4 pieces of chicken plus fried rice, mixed vegetables and an opening wonton soup. Big plate, big value. Hope it isn't 10 years before I go back.

Came here to satisfy my craving for Chinese food.

Parking is available in the front, as well as on the side streets.

The inside is super-dated, and a bit beaten up. Typical diner decor. You can probably host a giant part up to 30 people here, though I'm not sure why you'd want to.

They have $6 lunch specials on weekdays. This is what I really like about such diners. The value is always excellent.

I had the lemon chicken combo, which included the items below:

Wonton soup - straight up pork. Some shrimp or something else would've been nice. Typical soup but the wontons were

Without question, Winnipeg's best Chinese restaurant and a real hidden gem. With two separate menus, over 5 pages each for both vegetarians and meat eaters.

Ridiculously friendly staff and convenient parking in the evenings. My wife and I come here about twice a month at least. Yes, they do remember you. Even right down to our customizations to the orders!

I will tell you the one thing that nobody realizes makes a good Asian restaurant: CONSISTENCY. You know how you always debate in your head before ordering Asian, because you're not sure if it will be as good as last time? Well
