A couple weeks ago this summer 2021 our family patiently awaiting our pool’s opening for the season encountered a set back with our floor vacuum
and went immediately to Diplomat in Pickering Kingston Road without a call or an appointment set. Not only were all the gentleman there willing to be of help, certainly prompt and courteous they all had their hands full while extremely busy handling a full shop. Nick offered to take a thorough look inside our pool vacuum, took it apart and installed the necessary filter without hesitation instead of just selling us the part we asked for and leaving

"Customer Service is the deciding factor of the success of a business"
I had multiple bitter experiences in Diplomat Pickering but today's was the worst. Its a shame - The "lady" in the store -assuming the owner here, was rude and unprofessional ! Look at the similar reviews, exactly what I experienced at this store.Too pushy, arrogant and OVER PRICED !
You get the water test printout only if you buy the exact quantity of chemicals they are suggesting ! I dont have the liberty to choose the chemicals I need. Even if you buy other chemicals more than the amount of they suggesting, still you dont

Edit to reply to the Owner: Perhaps I erred on the name of the employee but definitely not on the name of the pool store or what happened. Is there a reason the owners name is a secret?
Curious as to why the lady that works there feels the need to hide the name of the store owner. I called looking for a quote and to book the install of an above ground pool and when I asked who the owner of the store was the employee refused to even give a name. That kind of response makes me feel like they have something to hide. Oh well. I guess there are other places to buy from that don't have anything to hide

Terrible service, push customers to buy chemicals you do not need. Over priced on chemical costs. Owner says i need to buy the pool heater and the salt generator first before they send someone over to qoute me the labour cost for installation. How is that fair if they over charge on the labour and now your stuck with the equipment ? By the way Rands pools sells the exact same salt generator for 180.00 cheaper. Perfect example how this store overcharges. Owner has poor customer service. They even force you to buy their chemicals in order to get the print out of your water readings even though I

Been using this place for a while. Knowledgeable people, great selection of everything for pools and spas. But as many people have noticed, they are very much overpriced. Service department actually charges almost twice as any other competitor. It is free market after all. No one forces anyone to buy from this place or that.

I could not be more pleased with Rob and the rest of the crew at Diplomat Pools & Spas. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Because of them, my family and I have enjoyed our backyard this winter more than we have in the last 30 years combined. The spa they recommended is running great, no problems whatsoever! I’ve had the spa now for 7 months (since Aug 2019). Thanks to Rob and Diplomat Pools & Spas, our backyard can now be enjoyed every season.

I purchased a Freestyle spa in the summer of 2019. I dealt with Drew who was pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable about their products. There was good follow-up communication from their staff as to when my unit would arrive and scheduling the delivery. They showed up at the arranged time, delivered the unit without issue, and came back once the tub was full to make sure everything was working well.
I have always been treated well when in their store having water tested, whether I was buying chemicals or not.

Rob and the rest of the team at Diplomat are great to deal with. I purchased a hot tub there two years ago and whenever I’ve had issues or needed advice they’re quick to help out. Highly recommend. Some of the negative reviews I’ve read here are highly suspect based on my experience, so take them with a grain of salt.
