Mamma Rosa's Restaurant in the heart of downtown Kelowna is a truly authentic Italian experience!. This downtown Kelowna restaurant was established in 1984 by the Anfuso family. Rosa and her husband Giacomo and their son James opened Mamma Rosa's on Hwy 97. Their little Italian nook soon became a very popular Kelowna restaurant with line ups of tourists and many locals wanting to experience their unique pasta and pizza daily.
Mamma Rosa's needed to expand so the Anfuso's moved the restaurant location to downtown Kelowna at 561 Lawrence Ave where you can find them now. Rosa Anfuso is the mastermind behind the authenticity and truly mouth watering food. She was born in Sicily and moved to Genoa Italy where her love and passion for cooking flourished.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. We ordered around 6:30pm on a Friday and waited about an hour for a very friendly and personable delivery girl. We ordered the Mussels, Fettuccine Alfredo, Penne Alla Susanna and the Chocolate Explosion cake. Although we did have to wait a reasonable time for delivery, our food arrived fresh, hot and absolutely delicious.

We tried two of their house special lasagnas with the spinach and “pasta made in house” the noodles tasted like they were previously frozen and the sauce was horrible. It was watery and bland, no flavor. For the price and how much they boast about fresh homemade cooking I was expecting a lot more. Very disappointing.

Their pizza is terrible!! Italian restaurant doesn't know how to make a proper pizza. Never again!!! Proper pizza has the sauce, then a GOOD layer of mozzarella cheese. Then ingredients go on top of the mozzarella cheese!! I made the mistake of asking our pizza to be cooked that way. What we got was a very thin layer of mozzarella cheese, then half cooked pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. Yuck! Pepperoni practically raw and veggies crunchy! Not enough cheese to hold the pepperoni and veggies. Veggies kept falling off the pizza. Overall, very disappointed! Can you imagine the uncooked

Very cozy and homey vibe. Like I'm sitting down for dinner in a good neighbors dining room , not a restaurant.
The food is so so good- the spicy Italian sausages are homemade and the pasta is perfectly done. Every plate is a wonderful step into delicious Italian cooking. Number one Italian restaurant in Kelowna by far.

We were really excited and honestly the food did not disappoint. The service however was terrible. We asked if bread sticks were included and they advised no but didn't offer a sub, we asked 5 mins after… ordering our daughters meal if we could change it, again no, my husband ordered an ipa and was served a pilsner. We saw and were helped by other servers more than our own. Good food bad service

The staff were very friendly, but the FOOD was absolutely HORRIBLE.
Ordered the lobster/crab ravioli, which had an incredibly WATERY SAUCE and tasteless ravioli... My mum also ordered a cream/based sauce (Alfredo), which had a watery sauce and tiny frozen shrimp (which cost an extra $6). Absolutely disgusting.
There was nothing authentically Italian about this meal. The bread, that came out before the meal, was re-heated bread (toasted) and completely dry. The menu was waaaay too long! Make 10 dishes, instead of 80 terrible ones.
Very disappointed after hearing that I HAD to eat here when I

Came here for good pizza and wasn't disappointed. Our family of teenagers who are used to tasty food were quite happy and full.
We had three different medium pizzas. Each were delicious.
We will definitely be back here next time we are in town. And letting our B.C. friends and family know as well. Boston Pizza just lost a customer.

SERVICE: from the moment you walk in, you have friendly service. This lasts until the moment you leave.
ATMOSPHERE: this place is really dated and is dire need of an reno. They could do so much more with it. It's also noteworthy to mention that their primary visiting demographic is 50+; hardly any young people.
FOOD: given this place is an alleged authentic Italian, I've been disappointed with it. Been here about five times with a group. I always order the pasta and while it is okay, one would expect more from an Italian family run business. I went last night and thought I&apos

Welcoming friendly service from the moment we entered, followed by efficient, well timed service - these ladies are good. Traditional, cozy plaid table cloths and bright Italian painted scenes. Subdued Italian music in the background.
For an appetizer we took advantage of the free classic bruschetta from Yelp, awesome! It was very good, we would definitely order that again. The tomatoes were absolutely fresh and scrumptious, the bread toasted but still chewy, I loved that it didn't crumble into a zillion pieces as bruschetta sometimes can.
All three of our party had pasta, the lasagna
