Depending on your area of specialization you'll learn specific skills required for entry-to-mid-level employment in mental health agencies, hospitals, recovery programs, and/or private practice. The 7-month Certificate program (made up of 9 courses), is geared to individuals with prior learning or experience in the mental health field, and who intend to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills in one specific area of practice.
Throughout your program, you develop a portfolio of practical job skills. By the time you graduate, you're prepared to work as an entry-level counsellor in a public agency or open a private practice. Or you may choose to apply your training to other business endeavors.
