I am a Registered Social Worker, a Registered Psychotherapist, a Clinical Traumatologist, and an Internationally Certified Clinical Addiction Counsellor. I have obtained extensive education and experience in addiction, mental health, trauma and concurrent disorders over the past decade.

My educational background includes a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (honours), a diploma in Professional Counselling, a diploma in Addiction Education and a certificate in Clinical Traumatology.I have worked in community, clinical, and employee and family assistance programs and have a demonstrated track record of success working with clients towards their goals.
Services
Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover private counselling sessions unless delivered by a medical doctor or psychiatrist. Private health insurance and employee benefit plans may reimburse you up to a certain amount per year. Please call your insurance provider or employer ahead of time.

Opioids or opiates are the most frequently abused prescription drugs in Canada. Opioids that are available by prescriptions and over the counter include OxyContin, Percocet, Morphine, Hydromorphone, Demerol, and Codeine (cough syrup, Tylenol 1, 2, 3). Opioid use is very addictive and can quickly lead to psychological addiction and physiological dependence.
Every day, an average of 11 people take their own lives in Canada, and another 210 attempt to do so. Suicide is the ninth most common cause of death in the country and the second most common cause for youth aged 15-24. There is no doubt that more has to be done to prevent suicide. However, suicide is often misunderstood in society.
