Co-founders Nathalie & Chris opened Brooks Heating and Air in 2009. Together they grew a one truck, home-based business to 6 trucks and 12 full-time staff and are now located in a commercial building on Sinclair Ave. Chris prides himself on professionalism, quality of workmanship and doing the job right the first time.
To the team he is referred to as the Colonel in reference to his 25 year military career as a Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Reservist. Chris is a fully licensed TSSA Gas technician and College of Trades certified Air Conditioning Mechanic since 1999. If you're reading this review, let me stop you now and tell you to just call them. For me they went over and beyond the call of duty.
After replacing my 30 year old furnace my AC started working very poorly and they had no problem coming to my house to fix the issue.
But what I found very satisfying was the two tech's I talked to made me feel that my satisfaction was important to them.
So very happy I found them.

We had Brooks Heating and Air install a ductless heat/AC unit last week in our home. The owner Chris, was the who gave the quote, and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He walked us through the whole process to ensure we weren’t left with any questions. The installation staff were also very professional and extremely knowledgeable in their trade. Amazing service! We called Brooks Heating and Air because our furnace wasn't working properly. The receptionist who answered the phone (nice to talk to a real person!) was very friendly and helpful. Chris came out right away and explained what our options were and answered all our questions. He was able to fix the issue and saved us having to replace the furnace. We will definitely be coming to Brooks in the future for anything we need. Its a great, local, family run business.

Can’t thank Brooks enough for taking care of us yesterday with a new hot water tank. I’m recently home from surgery and hot water is essential. They came within the half hour of my call to check the situation and shut off the gas. They were back mid afternoon to install the new one. My husband said they did an excellent job and were very thorough, took time to give him some tips and were very clean. Thank you very much.

We’ve been customers since the beginning of the company and have always been impressed with the service. Just had Andrew here to service our furnace this morning. He recommended we replace our carbon monoxide detectors. One of those things I just never thought about so very grateful that Andrew checked that out too. It’s all in the details!

They came out to an emergency 5 am call to replace the exhaust blower (a part worth ~$200), completed the job in about 30 minutes and charged about $1100. He also offered to replace the whole furnace for $4000. In the end, the furnace is working, but the blower is very loud, certainly, compared to the original blower. He said that he wasn't sure which blower he had back at the shop, so I wonder if the new one is more powerful (for a larger furnace). Furnace rattles whenever the blower turns on. Will get quotes next time, but elsewhere.
