Priest Valley Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation
We are a full-service Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation clinic located in the heart of Vernon, British Columbia. We hope to provide a better, more accessible path to the assessment and treatment of muscle, bone and joint problems in the North Okanagan. We are challenging the traditional often slow and onerous pathway to treatment!

Richard Healy, Carey Jones and the rest of Priest Valley Physiotherapy will be teaming up with Orthopaedic surgeons, Dr. Secretan, Dr. Sernik and Dr. Jarvie who we have shared a space with for the past three years. During this period, it has become very clear that there are significant benefits in terms of patient care by developing a fully integrated team at the clinic.
Services
Priest Valley Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation is a private physiotherapy practice in Vernon, BC. We offer comprehensive assessment and treatment of issues related to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, with an active/exercise focussed approach supplemented by our commitment to hands on treatment.
Richard graduated in 1979 from Trinity College Dublin, School of Physiotherapy in Ireland. Richard's early years of experience in the treatment of neurological problems, combined with his own involvement in sports and the treatment of sports related injury, have shaped his interest in a more integrated approach to prevention and management.
The certified hand therapists at Priest Valley Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation are well versed in the assessment, prescription and fabrication of a large variety of custom and non-custom splints. Our CHT's have the most diverse and extensive hand, wrist, arm and shoulder splinting experience in the North Okanagan.
Led by Priest Valley physical therapists and kinesiologists, we work with clients of pre- and post-operative hip and knee surgery in providing education and in-clinic treatment in the maintenance and improvement of strength and fitness before and after surgery. Our customized plans include physical therapy treatment and recommended exercises based around pre- and post-surgery.
Water based treatments such as Hydrotherapy are an effective way of aiding in the rehabilitation process when non-weight bearing exercises are recommended due to limited strength in doing them against gravity. It is also beneficial when working with limited function caused by inflammation, pain, guarding, muscle spasm and limited range of motion.

The best hip doctor in town! The care there is professional and after trying some other places without luck, my hip issue was fixed in 2 visits. Garett Johnson is the best!

Very poor service. Caused my girlfriend to have to appeal to receive her benefits because they couldn't complete the required paperwork in a timely fashion. Even after several reminders that were given well before the paperwork was due. Very disappointing. Would not recommend going to this place .

Dr Jarvie was great. Took time to listen. He will be my "go to" with all my wrist issues I finally got an answer what was going on. The way it was explained made sense.

Fantastic service. The therapist checked out my issue, said he was unable to help and then referred me to someone who could help me. They did not charge me for the visit as they was nothing they could do.

Carrey Jones was able to help me when pain medication couldn't. I was in a dark place . . . I was on a waiting list to see Dr Bester (who specializes in pain therapy) when a friend recommended Carrey Jones from Preist Valley Physio. Carrey Jones was able to explain and relieve my pain with physio therapy and some recommendations (like sleeping on my back) and isometrics specific to my pain. I will be eternally grateful :)
