I enjoyed some of the best sushi I've had in Edmonton at this restaurant. A large menu full of quality options served in a quaint, clean restaurant. Will definitely be back.

This is my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant in Edmonton! It's so cozy and reasonably priced. They are always friendly and accommodating. The Tako Yaki and dynamite rolls in particular are absolutely stellar! A must try if you're in the area

Reminds me of the quality you used to be able to receive in Calgary. Really enjoyed our diner here, the vegetable tempura was very generous in portion and the I love you roll was great. The quality and taste was really good, but be expected to pay for that as rolls and other sushi was at a bit of a higher cost. The service was amazing and our waitress was so sweet and kind with our party of 6.

Twenty plus years ago I visited Furusato. It was the spot for sushi, I even drove once from Calgary to Edmonton and dining at Furusato was the highlight of the trip.
Fast forward two decades, I brought my kids to enjoy the same sushi restaurant I enjoyed so much. The reviews were great and they got 4.5 stars according to Google.
The only thing that seemed to remain the same was the decorations from 20 years ago.
The ownership was changed, the place was less busy (Sat night). The seafood portion was good for the price, the major downfall was that the sushi rice was not seasoned with vinegar for

It's the best Japanese restaurant I know. You would need a plane ticket and passport to get more authentic food.

I'm from Vancouver, and I've eaten a lot of sushi in my time. This sushi was as good as I've ever eaten. Definitely in the upper echelon of Edmonton sushi.
Medium assorted sashimi was delicious, nicely portioned and high quality.
Had the I Love You roll and the butterfly roll, both had outstanding presentation (I love you roll was hearts, the butterfly roll was arranged to form a butterfly), and tasted delicious. The rice was nice and subtle, the flavours nicely balanced...
And the restaurant is very charming! You would walk right by it without noticing it was even there, but inside I loved

This place is a gem. We did pickup because of the whole covid thing. They did a great job ensuring our food traveled to our home without getting soggy. Food was fantastic! I highly recommend the chef's sushi picks.

The rolls were delicious. The service was a little hit and miss. The worst part was my tuna taktaki was really fishy, i couldnt eat it and they still charged for it.

Absolutely a gem of a sushi restaurant in Edmonton. I think this is gonna be my all time favorite sushi off Whyte Ave now. The atmosphere is very reminiscing of authentic Japanese village and the services are great. Parking is a little bit tight as it is right off the busy Whyte Ave.

This seems to be a hidden gem in Edmonton. The staff is sweet and kind. The food delicious and worth every penny. Try the butterfly roll at the end of your meal, it's a must. My best friend brought me here and as we got close I wasn't sure but after my first bite, I fell in love.
