Went here for my Birthday right before Christmas. I was so excited because we used to love going to the Cheesecake Cafe, but it is kind of far from where we live because they have closed the other two locations. I checked the online menu before we went to make sure there would be something for my daughter to eat there. Great, they had a beyond meat burger and vegan cheesecake - yay! When we got there however, we noticed the menu was not the same menu as is posted online and the only option would be basically a lettuce sandwich. I was very specific when I said there could be no dairy of any kind

We went for dessert. Overall a nice experience. The desserts were the perfect sweetness which means you can taste ingredients for what they are. Took a star off because only the New York style cheesecake was without chocolate. Everything else had chocolate. The world has much more in flavors than chocolate and frankly for me thats the last flavour I want in my cheesecake. The service was excellent.

The last two times I’ve eaten here I was so excited to take my cheesecake home and enjoy later… but both times I was so disappointed in the cheesecake I don’t think I’ll be back. 😔
In June I had the birthday cake cheesecake which was really just plain cheese cake with sprinkles and
I most recently ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake which was very dry and the cookie dough crust had no flavour. Not worth $10 a slice.
I will say my dinner was delicious and the service was good.

Went there yesterday evening to pick up some cheesecake. I wasn't wearing a mask (exemption) and the server asked me to put on a mask. I politely told her that I wasn't comfortable with wearing a mask simply because I didn't want to explain my medical info/condition to her. I even said that I would wait outside for my order. Instead her reply was: "Not comfortable wearing a mask...after 2 years?" I even told them I would wait outside for my order but they simply neglected that (on purpose)?

Cheesecake cafe is my favorite place in Calgary! Yesterday I decided to meet there with my mom and sister. The food was excellent as usual. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our server Yvonne made it very obvious that she did not want to serve us but because it was her job she had to. Never have I felt so unwelcome there and she made that very clear. She was short of throwing us out when all we wanted to do was go and enjoy an afternoon with my family. I used come here quite regularly as I love their country club sandwich and soups. Sadly, I feel since the pandemic (which has understandably been hard on everyone) this place has taken a turn for the worse. They switched the sauce for the cafe chips to one that isn't as appealing for sure. I also unfortunately noticed a small fly on my plate. I'm usually not the type to complain ever at restaurants having worked with the public in retail but gahhhhh. I had to in this case. It definitely ruined my appetite.

Had a wonderful visit to Cheesecake cafe. All the covid guidelines were properly adhered. Extremely courteous staff took us to our seats. Our order was mixed up, however we were not disappointed as they served us with the right order as well, on the house. Desserts were out of the world. I tried the carrot cake while my partner tried the eggnog cheesecake. Everything was extremely satisfactory and very tasty. Will definitely go again. Highly recommend because of their amazing service, extensive menus and tasty desserts!

Were not asked for refills ONCE. And when we finally flagged her down she rudely answered “I’m gonna be a minute.”
During this stay, we had to flag her down for everything.

When I got home, the two slices in the box, were noticeably different in size. The slice of the a chocolate was maybe 1/2" wider. It was slightly taller too. We weighed both on our digital scale to see the difference: Death By Chocolate 359; Turtle 260g.
I mention this because it appeared there to be scribe lines on the top of the cakes but clearly there is an 100gram difference when sliced

Love the deals on appetizers here! My friend and I always used to come for the cheesecake (which we still do!) but recently we discovered how cheap and delicious their appetizers are too! Additionally their staff (older blonde lady) was extremely nice and had a very positive attitude. I would 100% recommend going here for a fun little date or even to grab cheesecake. 10/10!

This was my first experience with this restaurant. Went in to buy some cheesecake to go. Overall the customer service was pretty slow. They do have a variety of types of cheesecakes on display which you can buy by the slice, half a cake or a full cake. The price is pretty steep but it did match the quality of cheesecake.

We made a reservation for 10 adults and four children last Sunday October 21. We had a horrible experience. The seating did not allow people in the middle to get off without disturbing everyone on any side. The tables were sticky and have no cover.
The service was horrible, way below standard for any half decent restaurant. That is despite warning us that they will charge 18% service fee because we are a large group.
The server missed in taking orders and in bringing these orders to the table. The children's food was cold and very unappealing to

We knew this place had a large menu so we wanted to try it out. We ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was underwhelming. Not really tasty, quite bland, although creamy, the flavors weren't there.. overpriced for what we thought would be delicious $21. We got deep fried dill pickles that were soggy and the crunch wasn't there, but the sweet red pepper aioli was tasty. The peanut butter cheesecake was good, but the carrot cake was quite dry. After years of never visiting The Cheesecake Cafe, my friends and I decided to give it a shot. The evening started off with not being seated for five minutes, and not being served for an additional 10. Once we received our cheesecakes, three out of the four of us did not enjoy ours. This was probably the worst cheesecake I have had in a restaurant, which is extremely disappointing for a place that is supposed to specialize in it. Not a fan of the fake taste, overly sweet, and neon colored cake. Won't be back.

This is the perfect bistro to have brunch. They have a good menu, and their French Onion Soup is my favorite from among other places. They sell a good variety of cheesecakes too. But what I dont like from this place is that it's old and looks like it hasn't been renovated for years, orders take too long to arrive, probably bc they have a few servers- eben at peak hours. Still recommending this place though.

My friend wanted to go here for her birthday, since she is able to eat there even with a peanut allergy.
Our server was totally disinterested in doing his job. From neglecting to take one of our orders, to taking 45 minutes to bring the drinks, everything about our server was terrible. The restaurant was not busy, he was not stressed, he just did not care.
On top of all that, the cheesecake wasn't even good!

I think this is the only location left in calgary now.
Me, my sis, and her fiance, friend went there last night.
We ordered appetizers. It was filling.
My order was given wrong. I asked for 2 portions of vegies instead of baked potato. Didn't happen...
Don't ever order calamari...it wasn't cooked and doesn't look appetizing at all.
Fish and chips being 20 dollars is kinda ok...the fish is huge.
With the sauces...if you ask you pay extra. Though they give you Uber tiny. Not enough sauce.
The overall experience for 4 of us are mixed therefore 3 stars are awarded.

Whenever we're in the area looking for dessert this seems to be the first place that comes to our mind. I've only ever been here for dessert, and often times we get to the restaurant near closing time, but the staff have always been kind and respectful about it. There's never any pressure to kick us out.
The last time we visited, we had their eggnog cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake; both very satisfying with nothing too special about them. Portions are generous and we opted to take the remainder of both slices home.
