Step back to a very different era in this stately Queen Anne Revival style mansion (1904) with restored plaster ceiling moldings, ornate stained glass, and beveled leaded windows. There are no elevators. This home was built for "impact" with its high ceilings, heavy wooden doors, grand staircase and, just its sheer size.

Really good character Inn. Clean and updated in the right spots. Spacious. There's no front desk.

The owner of this place is very unprofessional, and they will take advantage of you at any step possible. The cleaning staff are really nice and respectful, however you need to ask for your room to be serviced.
Also they have people there isolating and don’t inform you before you book.
Also the owner/manager is very unprofessional i can’t stress that enough!
UPDATE. Today the manager threatened me and I had to get the police involved. The people who run this place have no idea of law or human decently.

Rude and extremely loud neighbors both nights of our first trip to Newfoundland. Spent the night listening to extreme noise both nights
Today is our Anniversary and my husband's birthday well, we will be hiking with zero sleep for the last two days.
Room was nice but zero cleaning
service and of course zero sleep.
It is a good location but other than that , I would definitely not recommend it and want my money refunded.

Cold water showers and the worst mattress you could think of. The place was clean and had a good potential but, for a traveler a good hot shower and a comfortable bed are paramount. Time to make some improvements Abba!!!

Stayed in this lovely B+B in early January 2017. Room was spacious and very clean. The bed was a little wore and saggy but clean. Bathroom was private as it was in your own suite so no worries about sharing. I did experience a few noisy guest during my ten day stay. The light breakfast was so so, snacks seemed to be close to stale. Overall my stay was pleasant and the convenience factor alone being close to the waterfront overrides the negatives. Would recommend just bring your own light breakfast or go out to one of the many nearby places to eat.

This is a secondary place with the Cabot House, there's no reception on site, but if you booked and paid ahead, you will get instructions to get in directly and plenty of contact information. You can use the fridge in the dining room, where the breakfast is "served". Our room was located on the main floor, on the side of the building, the roof must be at about 12 feet high, with plenty of space for two even with a king bed. A bit noisy being between 2 streets with an AC in the window, but it won't be a problem if you're not a light sleeper. The building is located high, almost at the top of the

We came to St John's for the first time this weekend and booked the "panoramic ocean view" room. This was the main reason we booked this hotel.
When we arrived, we looked out the window to a brick wall. We were disappointed, so in an attempt to have it changed, we called their number (no answer), wrote them a message through Expedia (who we booked through) AND wrote an email. 2 days later and I've still not heard from them at all.
If you are booking for the room and view or worried you may need something rectified once you get there I couldn't suggest this Inn.
Sorely disappointed with the service

Booked for 4 nights on May 21 for July 12-16 stay. Paid in full at that time as required with no cancellation allowed. Informed on July 6 that room is overbooked and my booking is cancelled. Called Expedia and they confirmed with Abba Inn that my booking was not cancelled. Next day informed again that booking is cancelled. This leaves me with limited options to re-book something in St John's given late date. Really really unacceptable. Don't bother booking with them. No telling whether they'll honour your reservation even if you pay in full months in advance.

If you need a cheap place to stay for a night or two, this place is great.
I was told the keys would be left at the entrance and the live in staff should be around. There were no keys, and no staff. I had booked about a month in advance. I called the number at the door, and they didn’t seem to believe I had a booking – even though it was the same guy that I had booked with over the phone. He eventually said he’d be there in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, as we stood in the porch, he arrived and let us in.
I turned on the fan in the bathroom and thought a helicopter was landing. The toiletries
