In all honesty, I was a long shot.
I have debt, moderate credit score, new to Calgary, and my job requires me to switch employers up to ten times a year: So no 2 year (consistent with the same employer) job history.
Mark Herman went out of his way to get my wife and I an amazing morgage, with an excellent assist by Katie Mcdowell.
We'll always remember how he went above and beyond the call of duty!

We dealt with Mark and Katie for our mortgage. The process was smooth, simple, and easy to navigate. Compared to our bank we found a better rate and preferential mortgage terms, and managed to purchase a property with which we are very happy.
Sure it might have been slightly easier to click the “apply for a mortgage” button in our bank’s app, but the ten minute phone call with Mark to get set up has saved us thousands of dollars through this term. Mark Herman is a gem! He has helped me many times throughout the years and just did again! He advised when obtaining my mortgage and always finds me the best rates at time of renewal. Mark and his team were able to get us a much lower rate than what other brokers were offering us. He always made himself available when I needed his help, answered all my questions very promptly and made the process of obtaining my mortgage feel like a breeze. Mark helped me with my first mortgage a while ago. He explored all of my options, listened, and made it very easy for me. The biggest thing for me is, he would always answer his calls and reply swiftly to emails.
In fact, I can still ask him mortgage questions even years after my purchase with him.
Now that’s saying something since he’s already made his money off of me.
