John & Susie founded Life-Link Counselling in the summer of 2007. They have been married for 36 years and have two adult children. Their love of counselling goes back to the early '90's and they both have since graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counselling (with Honors). They have had extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and specialize in co-therapy with couples who want to work on their relationship struggles.
They also counsel individually in areas of depression, anxiety, grief, addictions, anger, trauma, abuse, and self-esteem. Keri loves working with people and has a curious and accepting approach. She understands that sometimes life can be complicated and a good, safe conversation can make all the difference.

Services
At Life-Link Counselling Group, we understand that coming to counselling for the first time often creates its own anxiety; "Will I like my counsellor?" "Will my counsellor and I get along?" With so many questions swirling around this first visit, we at Life-Link Counselling Group have chosen to offer first time clients a Free - No Obligation First Session.
For years, we have felt a definite calling towards working with couples, whether they be married, cohabiting, or pre-marital. We love doing co-therapy with couples utilizing the Emotionally Focused Therapy approach. Co-therapy (both of us working together with the couple) allows real balance and increased safety for each partner in the therapeutic context.
In our North American culture there is often a negative stigma associated with counselling. Many people still view it as an option of last resort; something you do only when there is a crisis, or when everything else has failed and you can't seem to get unstuck from your problems.
In those moments when you are quiet, maybe even bored, have you noticed, deep down, a sense that there is something missing, that there seems to be a lack of real joy in your life?Or how about your relationships? Are you able to maintain an honest and open relationship with at least one other individual?

Entering into a counselling relationship can be both scary and costly, but the very fact that you are choosing to pursue professional counselling suggests that you have already completed one of the hardest tasks of the therapeutic process; that of making the initial commitment to a journey of self (and other) discovery.
