On my first attempt with a new counsellor I found someone lovely who I decided to stick with. I am still seeing her - years later - and she helped me through the darkest period of my life thus far. I have only ever had positive interactions with staff at CARES and I have recommended them to many of my personal friends. Can't praise them enough!

Front desk is good with communication and getting you set up with a therapist. Saw Ross there and would not recommend, he would leave a bit earlier and switched around appointments a lot and cancelled. If you aren't able to commit scheduled times to see clients you shouldn't be listed as an available therapist. I got connected with another therapist but she was super rude on the phone as I was trying to book with her, so I decided against trying another therapist at Cares. It is based on income which a lot of people. do appreciate but I would rather pay more and not go in as often then to have

For the last few years we have found Cares and Ross to be a valuable resource in our lives, the care and attention that Irene and Ross have provided us to be immeasurable. Intake is done with your best interest in mind to place you with the best counsellor they can and we feel very well matched with Ross. He has gone above and beyond to make sure that we feel safe, heard and validated during sessions. He provides great insight, encouragement and celebrates our personal successes. We feel blessed that we are able to continue working with him through life's various challenges.

After separation we decided to attend counselling. Our biggest problem was communication, my spouse is a procrastinator, refuses to discuss problems and hopes they will just go away. I was hoping counselling would help break down the barriers, they could help provide the tools, strategies or a plan for us to communicate. Cares counselling provided us with nothing, only the advice to start dating again and talk ? After 5 sessions I had enough, very disappointed.

I LOVED every minute of my Cares experience...right from the receptionist/intake person to the rooms which I found very relaxing / calming. The only negative thing I would have to say is I wish I could have kept going longer :) My counceller was awesome at " reading me " and my needs even when I didn't have the words to explain them to her.A big thank you for everyone there for all they did to help me on my road to change.
