Ellen has been with Trillium Dental since the very beginning. She splits her time between assisting Dr. Shamji and managing the office. She is our resident problem solver and is always a friendly ear listening to our patients. Ellen may be greeting you at the front desk one day, or getting you settled in the dental chair the next.
Trillium Dental Centre is a full-service dental clinic, equipped to deal with any of your dental needs! We have been developing a reputation for professional and convenient service over the 35 years we have been serving the Kitchener-Waterloo region. We do our best to cater to our clients' busy schedules by offering same day, evening and weekend appointments.
Dr. Shamji graduated from the prestigious University of British Columbia Dentistry program in 1982 with a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree. She associated at an office in Vancouver until 1987 when she moved to Waterloo, Ontario. She has practiced dentistry at her current location in Conestoga Mall ever since.

Dr Hussein, Jack, and the entire Trillium team are amazing. They are so friendly and accommodating and make every visit an enjoyable one. I recently had 2 wisdom teeth removed and the procedure could not have gone smoother. Dr Hussein was great at answering any questions I had along the way and I had absolutely no pain afterwards. Would definitely recommend checking them out!

I recently finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Aadil Shamji and his team, and I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Dr. Shamji managed my treatment with a specific focus on my needs as a client. I asked him all kinds of questions and he not only welcomed them, but also gave me the information I needed to reassure me that my treatment was going according to plan. Receptionists are very kind and efficient! Dentist seems really passionate and is a stand-up guy, explains everything and understands financial constraints and won't try to talk you into something you can't afford.
Notes:
- I personally had a tooth extracted and not only was it under 5 minutes for the whole thing, but he even got the tooth out without shattering it and could tell I was a bit nervous so he talked me through it.
- Had several x-rays done and decided only 2 of them were useful so HE DIDNT CHARGE ME for the others
Overall, best dentist I've had and I hate anything regarding dental

Would definitely recommend!! Honestly, I am terrified of going to the dentist, have severe anxiety, to the point that I haven’t seen a dentist in about 6 years until I found Trillium Dental! This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a dentist and dental assistant, they talked me through every bit of the appt and tooth extraction, they had more patience with me than I have ever seen. In my years of dealing with Dentists i have never found one that is so genuinely caring, dedicated, friendly, personable and who truly is only thinking of the patients well being. I had a traumatic dental experience over 30 years ago that left me petrified of dentists. Well I just had a major treatment and I will never deal with anyone else.

Dr. Hussein and his team are absolutely awesome! I genuinely appreciate that Dr. Hussein takes the time to explain everything that's happening and that his focus is on patient care and comfort. As someone who has experienced awful dentists (and a fear of dentists) in the past, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hussein at Trillium Dental Centre. He and his team will take great care of you!

Trillium is a great dental centre! I chose them at first because they had extended hours (open evenings and weekends) and had many staff that could accommodate different schedules. I did Invisalign treatment with Dr. Hussein and he was fantastic. Explained everything as we went, tried to make it as easy of a process as it could be. The dental assistants, hygienists and admin staff were all lovely to interact with and always super helpful. They even mailed me my final retainers when I had moved before treatment was over!

This dental centre is a well oiled machine. Right away booking was so simple, the staff was very attentive and highly responsive. The detailed client form in advance saves you time and the COVID pre-screening was contact less which was very safe and efficient. Upon you send a text so the waiting area would not be flooded and kept their clients… moving safely though their appointments. This was the first time I have ever gone to a dentist appointment and not waited at all. Upon entry the staff members were attentive and very welcoming. The entire place is spotless. I was super scared to get my wisdom teeth out! When my appointment day came, I almost called and cancelled out of fear! But Dr. Hussein was so amazing. He was super patient and understanding every step of the way!
