One star is generous for our experience- it wouldn't let me post unless I gave a star. My husband was researching used cars for our son. He came across one at Barrhaven Mazda. He called several times and nobody answered the phone, so he drove there and met with a salesman, who gave his card to my husband and checked on the vehicle. He came back to say that the car was sold months ago! My husband stood up, threw the card on the salesman's desk and questioned why the add was still up. The salesman said "why do you disrespect me" and "you should have called first". My husband said I called several

Terrible experience in Barrhaven Mazda
I bought brand new 2018 CX-5 Mazda from this dealer. For the past 3+ years, I have been there to get all maintenance done. On Nov.11 2021 I went to Barrhaven Mazda to swap winter tires, and was told the back brake pads needed to be changed, which I agreed. When I drove on the local road outside this dealer, the drive felt a little bumpy. I thought it was because of the road conditions, which I couldn’t see since it was so dark. Max and James worked hard to hunt down the exact vehicle I was looking for, even during these challenging times they did a fabulous job accommodating my request as well as a fair negotiation process. Justin was able to wrap up the finance side of things and explained things well to me. I traded a lease from another brand and dealership from out of province, so things werent as straight forward as they might normally be.
Overall a very friendly staff, a much better experience than my previous brand. Also, the car is great, love it!

Terrible experience, don’t recommend the service department. Got my 2021.5 CX-5 Signature at the end of July, recently the infotainment system rebooted on its own while I was driving. Took my car to the dealer last week, I was told they repaired my car by updating the system. But it is still happening. And after I called and questioned why it still happens, after a few backs and forward conversations, the service clerk eventually said, it has nothing to do with him, he just transfers the information between me and the technician. Made another appointment today, I was told they couldn't reproduce

We just bought a 2021 Mazda CX 9 from Barrhaven Mazda. It was a totally positive, relaxing non pressured
experience. Our salesman, James Wu was very helpful and knowledgeable. Any questions we had were answered directly and patiently- nothing rushed. That also goes for the sales and finance managers.

Can't recommend the service department at Barrhaven Mazda. Here is my story.
Brought my Mazda CX-9 for service due to the noise while driving. Told service staff that suspect wheel bearing issue (had that before).
After inspection ($67+tax) they recommended to change ball bearings on ALL FOUR WHEELS! Quoted $2,624+tax.
And I was told that they couldn't detect which bearing is the most noisy.
Likelihood that all bearings gone bad at once is very low, so I took my car to another garage, which easily identified that the front bearings are the noisy ones and need to be changed, which was done for

I purchased a 2017 CX5 at Barrhaven Mazda and up until recently I have been quite pleased with the previous service manager and staff.
Unfortunately that has changed and now I would strongly recommend not purchasing a vehicle or having a vehicle serviced at Barrhaven Mazda.
I am on my 3rd defective battery, 3rd being replaced a year ago and it is now cooked. As the warranty on the vehicle is expired it will cost me for a replacement even though the current battery is only a year old and there is obviously a problem.
The service manager seems to think the blame is low mileage and lack of use

Shopping for a new car can be stressful but I found the team at Barrhaven Mazda did all they could to eliminate this stress. The sales person was very knowledgeable and I was presented will a full and complete quote (unlike other dealers who just came back with a "here's the bi-weekly/monthly amount you will pay" quote). An honest exchange with the sales manager left me feeling I got a good deal for a quality vehicle and the rest of the transaction and subsequent vehicle pickup a few days later went very smoothly.

Excellent dealership, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting, and at no point did I feel rushed. Ahmad helped me find a 2020 Mazda CX5 GS that was perfect for me, and he worked hard to make sure I got the best deal possible.
