This was my eye Dr. For me and my family for many years. Today Nov. 23, 2021. I called to book with her for myself and my daughter. We are covered by OHIP. I was booked on December 2nd. However, the secretary surprised me saying that Dr. SABRINA has to do 4 retina scan that will cost me $160 extra in addition to the Ohip. For my DAUGHTER, 15 years old, she has to do two scan that will cost extra $80. When I insisted to do only the basc eye glass exam, I was rejected and was told that no booking for any appointment at all but may be after the new year. This is definitely, unethical, not honest,

New to the city and I was referred by a friend I was quite surprised when I went in and was greeted by such friendly staff. Dr. Sabrina Ahmed took the time to really check my eyes and cover everything, considering it was the first time she saw me. I was very satisfied with my experience! The lady working with the glasses made me feel comfortable enough to tell her exactly what I was looking for! Overall 10/10 and I will recommend to my friends!

I started seeing Dr. Ahmed shortly after she opened her office in 1989. She was just newly engaged to be married.
I had my 2 children see her as well. So l have seen many changes over the years all good.
Yes, at times it seems your are being rushed through your appointment but remember your eye care is in good hands.
If you feel rushed, just politely ask her to slow down.

The last time I wore glasses was high school, I had an aching deep sense of dread when I heard I had to start wearing them again, mainly because I never felt confident in them. One of the staff that worked there, really helped me find the perfect pair, she was so sweet and uplifting, her knowledge in lens designs, coatings and her sense of fashion not only helped me find the perfect pair but it ignited my self confidence. I’m loving my new glasses! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I went for my annual eye exam and the staff took pictures of my eyes. There were fees for these pictures so I wasn’t sure if I wanted them. But because of these pictures, Dr. Ahmed found certain issues with the inside of my eyes. She asked me if I was a diabetic. I said no. She suggested I get some blood work from my family doctor. I did so and sure enough I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I always thought optometrists just test our vision for glasses because that is what I experienced with my old optometrists but I learned Dr. Ahmed does so much more. If I can give anyone advice, take these

Dr.Ahmed and staff are friendly. However the wait time can be up to 2 hours sometimes. (at least an hour for a very basic exam where she actually spends less then 10 minutes in total with the patient). She also gave my daughter a higher prescription then she needed and after 8 months of wearing the glasses we went back to her because my daughter mentioned that it is blurry. Dr Ahmed changed the prescription back to the original prescription.
She mentioned that this happens sometimes and called me directly to speak to me about it.
Another thing I noticed is that they try to upsale extra imaging

Dr Ahmed is an excellent optometrist. She recommended a retinal scan to me that showed her a picture of the back of my eye and was able to refer me to a specialist. During the time I was waiting to see the specialist, I went to see Dr Ahmed again, and she answered all of my questions and concerns as I was very nervous. Her staff were just great, they squeezed me in the day I called when they heard I was concerned with my eyes and the wait wasn't that long either! I've been trusting Dr. Ahmed and her staff with my sight for over a decade. During that time I have moved my residence and still keep making the drive to come back! Her staff is very friendly, and much more knowledgeable about what is going on than in a typical office. Dr. Ahmed herself has always been professional and gets to the bottom of my issues quickly, while educating me on preventative health at the same time. I had a great experience at Dr. Ahmed's office. The staff were very friendly and kind. I called to book an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in even though it was short notice. The office is very beautiful with a large selection of glasses to look at. I had a red eye and Dr. Ahmed was very helpful by answering my questions and she gave me a prescription which cleared up my eye. Dr. Ahmed was also great with my 4 year old daughter and her staff helped us pick out a nice frame which was a great price because of their package deal.
