Nursery owner Alex Thompson has over 30 years experience, and has worked for Ofsted herself, inspecting over 150 nurseries across the whole country. Services
We believe that through play, children learn most effectively. Children's Choice draws from the best and most authoritative philosophies including Monessori, Piaget, Reggio Emilia and Vygotsky. During our many creative activities we place emphasis on the inventive process and not solely the end product.
Our nurseries, playgroup and breakfast club are run by an expert team of childcare professionals. Staff are selected for their caring nature and their professional qualifications in childcare. Our management team all hold degrees/level 4 in childcare, and all staff are 100% qualified Nursery Nurses (Ofsted only requires that 50% are qualified).

The sharing of meals and snacks play an important part in the social life of the nursery, and reinforces children's understanding of healthy eating. Children are encouraged to eat at a table with their friends and staff. Lunchtime is a social occasion with children chatting to one another and older children serving themselves from their own serving dishes.
The safety of our children is our absolute priority. We have designed our nurseries to be open plan environments divided by low-level partitions. This ensures that staff work in a coordinated manner across all age groups, and everyone can see each other at all times, helping protect both children and staff.
