At Huron, we have a team of 22 professional, dedicated and compassionate full-time staff who strive to make Huron a happy place to be and provide excellent opportunities for children to learn and grow at their own pace as individuals. We believe in Emergent Curriculum. Children learn through play. Caregivers plan activities based on the interests of the children.
Children in our centre also gain valuable learning experiences by going on field trips throughout the year. We have three well developed play areas outside. Each area is unique and is equipped to offer play activities for various age levels and interests. There is also a gymnasium in the basement where children get a lot of physical activity all year round, especially on those cold Manitoba winter days when you are forced to stay indoors.

My son went for 10 months and I honestly could not get him outof there sooner. The staff were so nosey and literally had something negative to say constantly. For example, they didnt like the style of ski pants I had purchased and told me unless I bought a different pair (gave me brands to look into( they would not be taking him outside in the winter months. on multiple occasions my son would come home in diapers that didn't belong to him that caused major diaper rash. Clothes would go missing too and he'd come home in the lost and found clothes. When I would ask why they would say he needed to

I have three children and have used a few different centres. Huron centre is by far the best child care centre I've had the privilege to use. My daughter has been in since she was an infant so she got to experience each of the rooms. I can say without a doubt each and every one one of the staff are AMAZING. They treat the children so well and provide such an enriching environment. This centre and their staff set the bar really high! I am truly going to miss them when it's time for my daughter to move on.
