Services
Kidex Academy is a licensed daycare facility offering Infant, Toddler and Preschool childcare options. We follow an Emergent learning methodology that allows our children to constantly explore new topics throughout the day. It is our belief that children should be respected and provided with opportunities to ask questions, inquire about relationships and learn in a safe and nurturing environment.
I wanted to write to you and thank you and the staff at Kidex Academy for the care provided to both of our boys. Kidex staff provided both our boys with thoughtful, complete, and a caring start to their educational careers. During Gavin and Rowan's time at Kidex they both grew immensely. Gavin, our 4 year old, would come home excited about the new words he could read; the words in French he could recite.
Kidex Academy is committed to following "How does learning happen" under the guidelines of the Child Care and Early Years Act. We strive to be organized around the foundations of belonging, well-being, engagement and expression in children where their goals and expectations integrate with the six Principles of the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT).
What is the Emergent Curriculum? Emergent curriculum is based on the premise that children are most successful at learning when curriculum experiences follow their interests, strengths, needs, and experiences. Educators committed to this philosophy use observations of children throughout their day as a tool for developing the curriculum content.
