Services
As part of our philosophy children are encouraged to explore, create, experiment and develop as individuals. Each child at West Oakville Preschool is special and we believe that children's "play" is their "work". The centre is staffed with, Registered Early Childhood Educators and Educational Assistants, committed to providing your children with a well balanced, carefully planned and secure environment to ensure a happy and confident child.
Our diverse team consists of 20 amazing individuals, with various backgrounds, experience and education in the Early Learning and Care field. We have a number of staff who have been employed with West Oakville Preschool Centre for many years, and some that have even reached their 10, 20, and almost 30 year anniversary milestones!
West Oakville Preschool Centre boasts home-cooked meals prepared by our resident cook, Ms. Arsenia Mendoza. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Mendoza has been planning and preparing delicious, diverse and nutritious meals, based on Eat Well with Canada's Food Guide. Our 4-week rotating menus are reviewed and updated semi-annually.
Q. Do you have subsidized spots available? A. A. Yes we do! We require a letter of confirmation from your Regional Child Care Representative to provide subsidized care. Please discuss with your Regional Child Care Representative to determine costs and eligibility. For further information about subsidy, please visit Halton Region Children's Services.
West Oakville Preschool Center offers Full Time and Part Time Programs for Infant, Toddler, and Preschool children. West Oakville Preschool offers a warm, stimulating and caring environment for children to learn, play, explore, and develop a knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Our childcare centre offers a learning program which is consistent with Ministry of Education policies, pedagogy and our curriculum.

My son attends West Oakville Preschool and it is hands down the BEST childcare experience we have had. The teachers at this school are so caring and lovely and Cathy, the director is awesome! They communicate with parents regularly throughout the day through the HiMama App. Anthony has also learned so much. As a child who had a mild language and speech delay, WOPC has helped him develop his language and has been so supportive with this matter by offering to work with speech pathologists. His teachers are always kind enough to chat with me at the end of the day when I pick him up from the outdoor

Deciding in whose care to place your most treasured thing in the world is nerve-wracking, difficult and anxiety-inducing experience for most parents; I was no exception. Thankfully, after searching for roughly 6 months, we found WOPC.
Cathy, the centre's Director, answered all our questions, explained that the centre is accountable to a Board of Directors, and took great care in putting our minds at ease.
My son was enrolled in the infant program at just 1 year old and his teachers were kind, attentive and gave regular updates via email and with the HiMama app. They knew I missed him dearly and

We have been part of the Westoakville Preschool family for over four years. My second child is enrolled at the moment and my first child still talks about WOPC all the time! The consistency of the staff, their dedication, and their care for the children put my mind at ease when I drop off my toddler. The ECE's in the Koala room (and all rooms since my eldest was there as well) keep me updated all day with pictures and always answer my e-mails when I have a question or something to tell them about my child. I cannot express how grateful I am for WOPC.

This daycare centre is definitely one of the best I have used! I have sent my two little ones to quite a few in the past four years. From my own experiences I can’t say enough good things about the centre. The teachers and staff have diverse backgrounds but are all super friendly and caring. The outdoor space is so beautiful with tons of green space as well as a big fenced playground for the kids to run around. Teachers constantly keep parents updated on what the kids are doing and how their days are going via HiMama and I just love the transparency! My son has been going for a few months now

If I could give this daycare 10 stars I would! Our daughter has been attending WOPC since September and it has been AMAZING! She is so happy to go to daycare every morning. I was nervous about her transitioning to daycare but the staff made our daughter feel so welcomed from the beginning. It is so wonderful knowing that she is eating good, nutritious food and also learning on a daily basis. This was our first daycare choice as I researched and visited MANY and I can definitely say that it is living up to our expectations and even more. They use the HiMama app and I love receiving updates on her

My son was at WOPC for 2.5 years now and we always were so happy about our experience with this daycare. Their outdoor space is beautiful, very quiet without cars or people walking around. Teachers are amazing, loving and ready to listen. Most of the staff is there for more than 10 years and have tons of experience. They are always buying new toys, new games and having interesting activities.
Now my son 3.5 yo sends me back home when I come to pick him up. He wants to continue playing at his daycare.

Went to the centre to see what it was like and to book a tour for me and my husband. Rang the doorbell at the entrance twice with no response. A lady came out and said hi but was wearing her coat and clearly leaving. I asked her if she worked there and she said yes. Then I told her why I was there as she was rushing down the stairs. She told me to ring the door bell, I told her I did and she offered no other help. I decided to leave because I don’t want our kid going to a place that clearly doesn’t care when the staff members treat potential clients this way. Then saw the lady speeding like
