There are an array of issues that face an individual such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief and transition. Problems often stem from communication differences, unrealistic expectations, changes in life style or goals. My vision is to help clients achieve sustainable problem resolutions, learn effective coping strategies, and enhance life skills.

Sex addiction is diverse and so are the people that suffer from it. Sexual behaviours become addictive when they become overwhelming and lead to problems in our daily lives. These behaviours can be challenging to acknowledge because they are so often associated with shame and guilt, especially when they do not align with our values and beliefs.
You may have just recently discovered your partner accessing pornography, holding sexual secrets from you and/or having affairs. As well, you could have been holding on to the unsettling feelings associated with your partner's sexual acting out for some time but are now willing to seek help.
If you have come to realize or are wondering if you are indeed the partner of an addict, please know that you are not alone in your journey and that it is not your fault. Some feelings you may be experiencing are similar to those that suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) or anxiety and depression.

Have you just discovered or been caught looking at pornography? Has it come to the point where someone else has described your pornography use as addictive? Perhaps you are struggling with your behaviour and are not quite sure if your pornography use is addictive or compulsive. If you are excessively watching pornography and are masturbating excessively and fantasizing in solitude, chances are that you are suffering from an addiction.
The Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST) is designed to assist in the assessment of sexually compulsive or "addictive" behavior. Developed in cooperation with hospitals, treatment programs, private therapists and community groups, the SAST provides a profile of responses which help to discriminate between addictive and non-addictive behavior.

Natalie has been a god-sent for my fiance and I. To be honest with you, if it wasn't for her expertise in her field, we would have separated and I would have probably regretted the decision to not to get help. Now, after a few months of working with Natalie, our relationship has reached new heights with the anticipation of having a family and a future together. If you and your partner are struggling in your relationship, it is always worth while to seek help. You've invested time and effort into your relationship, so don't give up and give it the best chance to work. That being said, If you want

Natalie was one of the best therapist's I have had the pleasure of working with in my past 10 years of dedicated therapy + healing. Specifically, her work with EMDR was one of the best experiences/tools I have ever encountered. Her kindness, compassion and empathetic nature were such a welcome relief as well. Thank you for everything Natalie!

I’m so grateful to have had the chance to work with Natalie over the last year. Our sessions were critical in guiding me through a difficult period of my life. She was incredibly kind and compassionate but also didn’t shy away from pointing out any areas where my thinking was distorted. I would always leave with a new perspective on whatever we were discussing, and practical steps to continue the work in my day to day life. Our work together was very healing and I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about getting help.

My work with Natalie Cournoyea has helped me in so many ways to heal during a very challenging period in my life. She offered me alert, deeply caring, trustworthy support and guidance. This included substantial EMDR work, which sapped triggering memories of their destructive power, and left me equipped with my own healing resources for the future. As a matter of habit, Natalie shares with her clients a treasure trove of information about materials, practices and people who are out there to help. Our work together turned despair and overwhelm into a new lease on life. Thank you, Natalie!

I have had the honour of working with Natalie in my therapy practice for over a year. I have been able to run workshops with Natalie as well as collaborate on therapeutic disclosures. Natalie brings a rich knowledge of addiction, betrayal trauma, and mental wellness to her field. Her demonstration of compassion, containment, and accountability with her clients is admirable to witness and I would highly recommend her to any client seeking support.
