Don’t get your ears pierced here. i’m sure the hair and massages are excellent but never get your ears pierced with a gun anywhere. the gun makes the backing extremely tight and the stud of my earring got absorbed into my ear and skin had completely covered the whole earring. also was told my earring was titanium but is nickel it wasn’t necessarily just this place but any guns. and they use guns. if u want a piercing go to a professional tattoo and piercing place with highly trained staff. the only good thing was very nice staff and quick service.dont recommend for piercings ever but nice

For the price of the pedicure I feel I should have got more! Hard chair, 12 colors to choose from in polish and 3 maybe 4 were summer like. Wasn't offered paraffin wax or anything (ZERO UP SELL) I left with rough feet. After 7 long months of waiting to go....... I was truly disappointed. I would have spend the $75 long foot soak and $10 tip elsewhere had I known how little they are putting into the customers these days. Will have to Be a gift card before I go back again. 2x in a row now.

Just went in for a brow wax & tint. Came out looking like a clown. Way too dark tine and the wax is terrible ( had to pluck a lot at home). Not to mention I am bleeding ... I think my skin was ripped off my eyelid. Called and got nothing except wash my brows and it should fade in a few days. WTH. Absolutely terrible experience. Too bad as I went to Kim for a long time. I won't go back.

I have been coming to The Verve going on 13 years! This was my first spa I had started to come to in my early 20”s. I have had phenomenal customer service over the years! Cheryl, Taylor and Connie are amazing and so welcoming. I have been seeing Carlee the last few years exclusively for my microdermabrasion facials. She had taught me so much about my skin. She really is a queen for her craft and I recommend her to everyone I know. The spa is beautiful and I love the packages they create for clients. Verve is one of the best spas in the Edmonton area. Glad to support this amazing local business

I purchased a Groupon for a very good price, the place is very nice and relaxing. My stylist was Lorna and she is a young and quiet lady which is a plus for me as I am not a talkative person. She did a great job with my hair coloring and cut. Will definitely recommend the place to anyone.

I got my ears pierced there today. It was really quick and easy to book an appointment, and they didn't waste time getting you in there. I got to pick an earring from a range of cool colours and sizes. I really recommend Verve to anyone who wants their first piercing, or is looking into more piercings. Taylor was the person who kindly, and swiftly helped me through the experience. The gun hurt less than expected, and I really enjoy how smoothly running the salon is. Great time there!

What kind of a business allows such distaste when a customer comes to them with a problem that is clearly due to their own sanitation practices. They should be reported to the health board. Disgusting. Also, perhaps some anger management classes for your managers would assist your business in paying the rest of your polite staff prior to bankruptcy.

Seems this place is having many many major issues with infections. This place is obviously dirty. But don't dare say anything to the manager or owners because they will threaten to sue! From chemical burns, to ripping off skin on a wax job to full blown nasty eye infections, this place NEEDS to step up to the plate and fix their bull$hit customer service and lack of proper sanitization or close up shop.
If you are the owner or manager of this shop and are reading my review. GROW UP! Face the music, you are running a chop shop and the ladies of sherwood park will not tolerate such poor service

My first time at a spa. I was early, so I had to wait, which was fine, but I waited for 20 min before I was offered even a glass of water. My esthetician was very nice and chatty and I really liked her. However, it's a day later and my nail polish is already starting to chip (started to that night).
My massage therapist was polite, but I found her very short and not very friendly.

As soon as it was pierced it gushed blood. 45 mins to stop it. The piercer was nervous and claimed that bleeding like that had only happened once before. It bled for 2 days after that. She also used a plastic stud which after my research shows is a huge no no. I went back after a few days to get a metal stud put in and she wouldn't do it. She prefers the plastic. Bad bad bad. I left with no refund, no metal stud and a nose covered in polysporin. I had to have another company remove the piercing it was hurting so bad :(

I had lash extensions done and it was a bad experience all around. A month or two later I had lashes done at another place and realized how bad my experience truly was at Verve so I contacted them just to let them know. The manager or owner that I spoke with became angry with me though my attitude and tone never changed from pleasant and constructive, I wasn't' asking for my money back, I just wanted to let them know about my experience.

I had heard from a friend that when she went to get her eyebrow pierced here, it got infected right away. I went in to get my lip piercing changed and figured it would be fine since it was already pierced. When I got it pierced, it was clean and I had no problems. Just from getting it changed here, it started to get crusty and eventually tore the skin inside of my lip and had left a flap of skin. Disgusting, I know. I had to end up taking it out.

I went to verge expecting to leave feeling refreshed and w some tension relieved. I left with more pain in my back than what I came with. And the lady doing my fingers and toes left me alone for a totally of 45 minutes and seemed not to care. My 6 year old niece could have done a better job! And at the end when I went to pay no one even bothered to ask how my day was. I won't be back. Ever.

I went here for the first time, and a giant piece of my hair was missed when it was dyed. I paid $179 for a cut and and solid color ( with a junior stylist). It took over 3 hours and I have shoulder length hair. I called the next day to complain, and the assistant manager was extremely rude to me and said basically we can't do anything. No apology either. I then emailed the manager, and never received a word back.
Will never be going to again. Expensive and rude. Do not waste your time!

I used to get my hair cur here till my stylist left. I've also had a few pedicures done at the salon. Overall I was generally happy. However, my happiness soon turned to tears, literally. In September I decided to get a pedicure and gel nails for my sisters wedding. Christine was doing both my pedicure and gel nails. My pedicure was rushed. My toe nail polish was all over, not just on my toe nails where it belongs. I didn't think too much about the rushed pedicure and didn't notice my toes till I got home (colour was very light). My gel nails, well best word is disgusting!

I agree with Jenna M. about the terrible receptionists. They are extremely unfriendly, and looked at me like I was stupid when I tried to strike up conversation.
The hairstylist (Kelsey) was super young, and I was a little nervous initially. She did an incredible job however. She was quite knowledgeable and made the experience very comfortable for me. I got light blond highlights and she recommended me to get some low lights to break up my bleach blond look. I will definitely be re-booking with her!
Oh and since she is a jr. stylist, it wasn't expensive at all. Paid 140 + tip for a full
