In 1979, Dr. A. L. Gureckas purchased the Smithville Dental Centre office (then located on College Street where Carruthers Printing is now) from Dr. Don Huffman. The dental office remained at that location until 1986 when a larger accommodation was needed to serve our growing patient population. The office was moved to its current location in the Smithville Centre Plaza in 1986 when the IGA store was redeveloped to a plaza.

I’ve had a lot of dental work recently - fillings, root canal, crown - and have had nothing but a wonderful experience (considering it’s dental work). The team is warm and welcoming, and Dr. Kulyk always fully explains what he thinks needs doing and why.
My son (7 years old) is also a patient and I love how they are careful to make the experience as fun as possible for him so that the dentist doesn’t become something he dreads.
Overall, I highly recommend them as a trustworthy, transparent and welcoming practice.

I have had the best experience at this dental office, Dr. Kulyk is the BEST DENTIST i have ever been too. The front desk is very friendly and helpful, the assistants make us feel very comfortable, with slight dental anxiety they made my appointment enjoyable! The hygienist's are informative and gentle. I would highly recommend this office to people of all ages.!!!! :)

Dr. Kulyk is professional, knowledgeable & honest. He has a good sense of humour & appropriate "chair side" etiquette. His staff are personable & professional. After receiving 3 quotes from other orthodontists... Dr. Kulyk's was the most reasonable price wise & most honest on the required procedure. The other dentist in the Giant Tiger plaza was nearly double the price, because they tried adding unnecessary procedures to the list. The other two quotes I sought out, were out of town had the same honest procedure outline as Dr. Kulyk but were a tad pricier and less availability for scheduling. I

Did a great job fixing my teeth. The dentist makes it a relaxed atmosphere while fixing your teeth. Only fixes what needs to be done. No unnecessary repairs. The hygienist was very thorough in her cleaning also. Definitely would recommend Dr. Kulyk and his team. The front staff extremely Pleasant and helpful.

I have worked in the dental field for a number of years and have never met a Dentist more geared towards patient care than Dr.Kulyk. He is so kind and gentle with patients, and genuinely cares about them. It warms my heart to be a part of such a wonderful practice. If you are in the Smithville or surrounding area this is certainly an office you would want to become a part of.

I had a horrible dentist as a child, so I developed a lot of dental anxiety as time went on. The staff and dentists at Smithville Dental are all so great. My mouth never hurts after a cleaning or other work done, like I always had as a child. They are great with kids and offer laughing gas, which is a total plus.
