Seventeen years ago, our passionate and talented founder, Elizabel moved to Vancouver from Mrida, Venezuela to pursue her career as a hairstylist. Between then and now, she has built a life and a business here for herself and her beautiful daughter. Worst service ever, will not be going again. Has absolutely no skills. Went in for the appointment and the first question they asked was if we would like to add extra money for blow dry. We were confused and asked for clarification, and apparently they are willing to let you walk out with wet hair unless you pay the unreasonable $45 for dry blowing.
When they wash your hair it feels like a rinse and basically just touching your hair. The “massage” was just softly touching your hair as well. The hydrating treatment left my hair even drier, and the way they blow dry the hair by pulling hard

I sat in the chair for close to 15 minutes before my stylist showed up to work which seemed ok by the business owner/manager who then proceeded to charge me twice what was discussed with the woman who booked my appointment. I was very detailed about what I was looking for, how long my hair was, etc. I can understand some overall adjustments but who knew toner, among many other things is an extra cost? Sadly the unprofessional start and mind blowing add-ons made for an unpleasant experience. Will not be back.

I had recently been to Remix hair studio to get my hair curled. I was pleasantly surprised that this hair studio opens at 9 AM on Saturday and it worked so well with my scheduled party time. I appreciate their professionalism. She did her job perfectly and constantly asked for my feedback. The price was affordable and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I came in with a mess but my hairstylist Edgar was able to help and I felt at ease with his recommendations and appreciated his professionalism in assessing what had previously been done. he worked his magic, OMG his amazing!!! I will highly recommend him.

Remix used to charge 50-60 dollars for a haircut which was already on the expensive side for a hair salon in Coquitlam but now they charge 80 which is so ridiculous for just a cut! I now go to Review where Lena who has over 30 years of experience will give you a very nice cut for only $35 plus tips.
Last time I stepped into remix, I got the only male stylist there to cut my bangs and he butchered it like I've never seen before. He made it look like I did it myself drunk and blind, just a huge patch of thick one single layered bangs on my forehead. No different layers or lengths whatsoever

I have been going to Remix for almost 1 year and the service is always immaculate and their employees are all highly skilled and have A LOT of training and experience under their belts.
They have always been extremely positive; from making an appt over the phone, walking in the door, to checking out they are always super friendly!
I highly recommend Maria, she always is extremely professional, friendly, and is a great listener.

Elizabel did my hair. Asked for highlights. Technique was good but the colour was not what I asked for. It ended up being grey blonde highlights (I have black hair). She was not attentive as she left the colour on for too long while she cut someone else's hair. She then had to tone my hair twice. Overall she achieved a good look but the process took so long unnecessarily because she was not attentive. For the high end price for her service I would expect more attentive service especially when colouring the hair. Not sure if I'll be back.

Cut with Melisa was not as expected; too short and uneven. She was not open for conversation, but tried to justify the cut. I will need to grow out my hair before being able to rectify this cut. She has a nice review below, so maybe she was out of it due to the busy holiday season but I will not be going back.

Disappointed. We are new to the area and I had searched online and saw the positive feedbacks so I booked an appointment for my daughter to get a full bleachout (she's already blond but wants that platinum blonde look). They called to confirm that is what she wanted but when she went in, the hairstylist talked her out of it and said that foils would be better but it would be just as light. It wasn't. I talked to the manager and she said they would like to fix it. I went in this morning with my daughter for a consultation, with the expectation of talking about how to correct it, and

Got my hair cut by Micky a few months ago. She was complementary and non-judgmental. She realizes that some ladies come in for the salon-grade experience even when they're otherwise apathetic about their hair style. That is, I normally wear my hair up in a ponytail or bun but I enjoy being pampered once in a while. This hair salon is very professional, clean, pretty, and I didn't find it overly pricey for my cut and styling. I will eventually book another appointment here. Extra bonus is that they're open late a couple evenings per week. Super bonus is that they are walking distance

Had my first experience today....I'm only sad that I didn't know about Remix sooner!!!!! Elizabel is amazing, she is very knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable in her care. I thought I wanted a texture perm, I am so very glad she told me about the process and what it would look like with my fine, long, straight hair. It wasn't for me....and I am so glad she took care of me. She did an AMAZING color and cut, and I almost can't wait until my bangs grow back so I can go there again.
