West Sakura Teriyaki Restaurant

Weekly orders of Ogopogo and Superwoman rolls are always excellent. Such good flavour and loaded with lots of salmon and scallops. I’ve tried lots of sushi places but this is my favourite. Looking forward to tonight’s meal!

Very disappointed, ordered party tray 3 hours early for new year's dinner and it wasn't ready when I went to pick it up. Rolls had too much rice and very little filling. Loosely rolled and falling apart, looked like I made them. Not sure what happened, this use to be good place to get party trays. Expensive as well, compared to other great sushi places.

I hate leaving bad reviews but… My mom and I ordered through Ninja Now the other night as we wanted to try cause we had never ordered from here. It will be the last time we order from here again. We BOTH woke up in the middle of the night with extreme stomach aches, something was definitely off with whatever we ordered. Even the outside of our stomachs were bloated and tender the next day. If something isn’t fresh, please don’t risk it and serve it to people anyway…

I am new to West Kelowna and have gotten takeout from here multiple times, and have so many great things to say about this place!!
The meal portions are large and the food is always consistent with the last time. When they tell me it’s ready in 10 minutes, it ALWAYS is and it’s piping hot. The staff engage in friendly conversation while I pay , not just “how’re you?” and everyone greets you right away when you walk through the front door.
This is by far my favourite place I’ve gone to here thus far and it will always be my go-to! Thank you for everything!! See you soon.

I honestly don't know what the rave is all about.
First off our server was great, he was a blonde young man with yellow nail polish and his customer service was excellent. (Would hire him if I had a resto)
Food was meh. Coming from Vancouver, it tastes like budget sushi that you can get from food court. The presentation looks good, but taste wise... Mehh.. overpriced but doesn't deliver.
I'm sorry but seared toro, isn't the same as blended cat food on top of sushi. Please tell your chef to cook your dam tempuras properly. Get a timer and set it at the right temperature. Some of our tempura were

We ordered for pick up . Unfortunately the food did not live up to the great reviews. I have never had Toro nigiri seared before and it really was not good that way at all. The presentation and overall quality really underwhelmed esp for the very high cost .

Sushi was quite good and fish was fresh. Slightly more rice and fillers than fish. The party tray was filled with non-fish rolls (yes I should have read the description more closely). Special rolls were big and filling but not the high quality I have come to expect from BC. Still very tasty and would go back.

Quite possibly some of the best sushi I have eaten in Canada, i had the superman roll, chicken karaage and the heart attack roll. Food tasted incredibly fresh the batter on the Karaage was very light and crispy, the sushi rolls were a bit more expensive than more sushi places but definitely worth the money. To top it off the service was amazing, really friendly staff that were all happy walking around with smiles on their faces and attentive to you with out being in your face which made it a great environment 10/10 would recommend

Yikes, what a mistake it was to order here. Quite expensive yet incredibly poor quality. The pork katsu is overcooked and dry as hell, the hand cone is the saddest thing I've ever seen in my life - who cheap out on rice of all things?? Where are the scallops?? And the takoyaki isn't even proper takoyaki, it seems like they tempura fried it and the texture is way, way off. Also, what's with the random lettuce in everything? Get your sushi fix somewhere else, I deeply spending $60 on this meal.

Great local spot in Kelowna. Vietnamese owned- my people! Fast and friendly service, very fresh fish. Great value for what we ordered, especially as I compare to Edmonton sushi prices these days.
We enjoyed the Toro Nigiri especially. The assorted sashimi was generous and he even torched the mackerel/saba for us which brought out amazing flavours you don't typically get when served raw.
Would definitely stop by again, glad we found this gem on Google and dined here.
