Our affordable counselling and support group services are conveniently offered at People Place located in downtown Vernon. The Family Resource Centre offers a range of no-cost or affordable counselling and support groups for all ages and genders in an environment that's inclusive, confidential and safe.

Services
The Family Resource Centre has been helping Vernon individuals and families move forward and lead healthy lives since 1993. The idea for the Family Resource Centre began with two counsellors who envisioned a roof under which families could gather for self-help resources, group support and individual counselling services that would ultimately empower clients to build healthy lives and a stronger community.
Our services are not connected to the Medical Services Plan and we do not require your CareCard. Completing an Intake Form is the first step to sign up for an Adult Group or a Child & Family Group. This can be by visiting our Centre. Contact us for more information. Our policy is to ensure that if you need counselling, you can access counselling here.
The Family Resource Centre is a non-profit agency and registered charity. Our counselling services and support groups are made possible through funding from a number of organizations as well as the generous donations of our community. This is an agency that has a direct impact on the wellbeing of North Okanagan families, and for generations to come.
Our professional counsellors are here to guide you through the life challenges that so many of us face and overcome. Our counsellors understand how to encourage children and youth to express themselves in ways that are comfortable for them, and help them get to a place where they can grow and shine.
