Sandy Lane Resort is located on the beautiful sandy shores of crystal clear Halls Lake. We are 40 minutes south of Algonquin Park, just outside of the Muskokas.
Our cottages at the resort are like mini homes that have basically all the amenities of home, such as satellite television, wood burning fireplaces, air conditioning, queen size beds, large sun decks, propane BBQ's etc. All the cottages have a view of our private beach that walks out gradually into Halls Lake - the lakeside cottage styles are on the lake.

Sandy Lane Resort may be the perfect location for your upcoming nuptials! Located in the beautiful Algonquin Highlands on Halls Lake, your country wedding will be one to be remembered. Any season is the right season here at our cottage resort! You can have your ceremony on the beach, under a marquee tent, or use the natural backdrop of the surrounding forest.

Sandy Lane Resort is now working with AM/PM Outdoor Gourmet. We have some ready to heat and serve meals onsite as well some frozen foods available to cook on the BBQ or in your fully equipped kitchen. Food orders can be requested in advance so they are ready when you arrive at site.

We stayed this past weekend and had friends staying in other cabins. The kids had so much fun on the play structure and the sledding hill! The rink wasn’t open but the lake was frozen and there was a small skating area shovelled away that we used.
The cabins were very cold at night. The heaters apparently do not work well in extreme cold. Our cabin went down to 6 degrees overnight despite the heater being on! I would definitely recommend other guests bring extra layers and extra linens in order to be comfortable through the cold nights.

We booked a wedding here for next June and unfortunately due to job loss and other unforeseen circumstances were forced to cancel. We had paid a sizeable deposit which we were informed was non-refundable. While I completely understand contractual agreements and what non-refundable means, I do find it a bit pathetic that the owners were not willing to refund even a portion of this deposit. We cancelled 8 months before the date. I understand the date may not be rebooked for another wedding in that time-frame however obviously the resort will be booked as it is any other weekend.

We had our wedding here this past weekend.
The grounds and hall are very well kept, cabins are rustic,clean, beds are comfy and have your basic necessities!
Owners were very accommodating & easy to get along with ..even went out of their way to help a family member, very helpful & much appreciated… thanks Robert!
Used the games room for a rehearsal dinner, not much mention of it on the website but it was perfect! Ping pong, pool, air hockey & fooseball! Made for lots of fun on a raining night!
Wifi was spotty but who needs internet when you have the great outdoors! Get outside!

But the owner is not, he ruined our stay with his micromanagement, he is very rude and he lives in the same place as well, after all of us checked-in he came to us several times just to give instructions either to switch off the floodlight, attend the firepit or to say that there is no need to use our mosquitoes trapper or to ask us to go inside the cottages and sleep after 11 PM because he could hear us whispering when he go outside his place.
On top of that, he informed us that visitors are not allowed during the day in which we could not understand

This is a beautiful resort to hold a wedding. Lots of cabins around a Central park area. Beautiful banquet Hall for the festivities. Nice beach to get married on. So great to be able too spend the whole weekend. The employees were very helpful and always attended to our needs. Unfortunately, the owner needs a few lessons on social skills, but if you have a thick skin, I would recommend it.

The place has great cabins & amenities. I attended as part of a group for a wedding & normally I would give a lovely place like this 5 stars. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is the male owner has quite a temper, he was disrespectful towards the dj, used profanities & yelled. He seams fine most of the time, but a few times members of my family including myself seen/heard him act without any respect for the person he was speaking to. I know times are tough & stressful in the hospitality industry but you must stay calm & respectful with people.
