From pre-pregnancy to menopause, we provide a safe space for women, and their families, to heal and grow. Postpartum depression (PPD) and pregnancy and perinatal related mood disorders are more common than many people think. Our Registered Clinical Counsellors and Nurses support women with PPD, depression in pregnancy, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, PMS, PMDD, and pregnancy planning.
We specialize in treating women dealing with depression, stress, body-image and self-esteem issues, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues and abuse, transitions, anger, or any other issues that are holding you back or interfering with living a healthy, happy life. No referrals are necessary to see our therapists, Barb Komar, RN, RCC, Kerry Anne Holloway, MA, RCC, CCC and Nishi Banipal, RPN, MHT.

At Coast Counselling Pregnancy and Postpartum Counselling, our counsellors and nurses have all received extensive training at the Reproductive Mental Health Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, and are registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses.
Reproductive Mental Health deals with care of women who develop emotional or mental health concerns related to all stages of the reproductive cycle; from pre-pregnancy to menopause. This would include, but is not limited to, issues that arise around pregnancy and postpartum - as well as infertility, miscarriages, birth loss, terminations, adoption, complications, traumatic birth and having a child with a serious illness.
Counselling can help you understand your thoughts, feelings and ways of relating to others. We specialize in women's issues and are dedicated to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for women to process their experiences and emotions. Our goal is to build warm, trusting relationships with our clients, and to help facilitate your personal growth and healing.
