In 1967, William Kilpatrick left his job at General Motors and started a career as an entrepreneur in the Niagara Region as the owner of A-1 Moving Co. Bill, as most knew him, built a business that catered to the working class and quickly became a trusted name of honest service and good work ethic.
In 1994, Jeffrey Kamckey assumed the role as owner after working with A-1 Moving Co. for 10 years and trademarked the company in 2002 as "A-1 Moving Generations". We used A1 to move in August, placing all the furniture (from a 4 bedroom house), in the basement of our new house while it was was being completed. Punctual, efficient, polite and very helpful.
When the house was completed, we used them again in November to move the furniture upstairs to the ground floor and re-organize the basement. As we all know , moving is a very stressful thing and these guys really take a lot of the strain off you. Furthermore, they were less expensive than other movers and the best we have used to date.

Best move I ever experienced, I didn't need to do anything on my move from. Smithville to St.Catharines. Jeff and his guys loaded everything while I was on my way to Smithville and I didn't even make it as far as Vineland when he sent me a picture of empty rooms and said he was on his way to St.Catharines to unload . The entire move took less than a hour and everything was in my new apartment. Great job and they followed all the covid standards. Easiest move of my life.

THE OWNERS RESPONSE BELOW IS A HUGE LIE!!! I WANT MY FAMILY AMOIRE FIXED!! I DO NOT WANT ANY FINACIAL COMPENSATION I JUST WANT MY FURNTIURE FIXED -- JUST LIKE MY FIANCE TOLD HIS RECEPTIONIST!!
I used A-1 Moving Company in St. Catharines three times with no issue. They damaged an antique armorer that has been in my family for over 100 years and refuse to pay for the damage. You can see they did a poor job wrapping it up (hense the damage). Instead of them paying the $100 to fix it they want to play the hard way. We spent $450 for them to move and damage our stuff. People use movers so their stuff

Very disappointed in A-1 Movers. They made an already stressful day even worse. The job was misquoted and they had to do two runs instead of one; arrived late; after second run they disappeared for an hour saying they got pulled over by the police; got us moved in the new place around 8:00-9:00 at night and wanted to get paid that night. After all was said and done, we discovered furniture scratched, scuffed and damaged; boxes clearly labelled for the rooms where put on different levels of the house and we had to move boxes around the next day.
