Trio Psychology
I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta. I am also married, and am extremely fond of animals - so fond of them that I have four rescue dogs of my own. I enjoy numerous activities, including hiking and Ultimate Frisbee. Another passion of mine is volunteering with animal rescue. I will help you achieve a better understanding of yourself and increase your sense of personal happiness.

Together we can remove the blocks that keep you from living the best life you can. It's like if you can imagine a world that appears grey, and then suddenly someone turns up the colour. I will not only listen to your concerns, but I will also offer tools and solutions to help you move forward. My education began with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg.

The collaboration with animals in therapy is known to have positive, long-lasting effects for people struggling with a number of concerns. Horses are very perceptive and have the ability to sense emotions in humans. This intuition allows horses to react to, and teach us about ourselves in a manner that is very impactful and meaningful.
Grief can result from any type of significant loss, whether it is a person, pet, relationship, job, health, or something else that is important to you. Grief is a natural reaction to such losses, and emotions such as shock, guilt, sadness, and anger are normal. Some of the symptoms that might occur are fatigue, a change in appetite, feeling disorganized, and having difficulty concentrating.
A pet often becomes a significant aspect of one's life. Pets show constant and unconditional love, and they are considered a part of the family. Pets accept us, and provide love, companionship, joy, and comfort during difficult times. Since this bond is so strong, this loss can result in intense feelings of grief.
Relationships are built throughout our lives, and on many different levels. Everyone has relationships that can cause concern at times - whether it is with a partner or spouse, family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor, or another person. These concerns can cause stress, frustration, and even anger if they are not addressed.
Self-esteem is built over a lifetime, and is a result of all of your experiences and relationships over time. Self-esteem is based on how you see yourself and your worth as a person. The ability to believe that you can achieve your goals and that you deserve happiness is the basis of self-esteem.

If you do not have a positive sense of self or do not believe that you deserve to be happy and have good things happen, you may be less productive and creative than you might be with an increased level of self-esteem.Low self-esteem results from a poor self-image, where you do not value your abilities and accomplishments.
