Sunburst Children's Centre is a non profit charitable workplace childcare centre licensed under the Ontario Day Nurseries Act by The Ministry of Education and is located in the Environment Canada building at 4905 Dufferin Street (between Seeles Ave. and Finch Ave.). Sunburst is a quality workplace childcare centre giving enrollment priority to employees of the federal government.
Spaces available are then open to the community. The centre is licensed for 41 children, distributed as 10 infants (0 to 18 months), 15 toddlers (18 to 30 months) and 16 preschoolers (2 1/2 - 5 years)., The staff provide a warm, safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care and offer a variety of stimulating and age appropriate activities to enhance the children's development.

Services
We encourage open communication with families and are always available for guidance and support. The staff car for each child as an individual, providing age appropriate learning experiences to enhance their developmental abilities. Sunburst is special as it is a home away from home. Situated near G. Ross Lord Park, Sunburst's facilities feature naturally shaded outdoor play areas, on-site security, a designated drop-off area, and so much more!
Note that it is especially important that the dates of all immunization shots be recorded, health card number, physicians name, address and phone number. FOUR WEEKS written NOTICE is required for withdrawal of a child from Sunburst. You are responsible for the fees for this period. DISCHARGE POLICY - The centre's staff will make every effort to meet the individual needs of each child enrolled in the program.

We absolutely love Sunburst, and it was hard to say goodbye. Our daughter made so many friends during her stay and she is still talking about them everyday. All the staffs were so friendly and professional with years of experience. They made sure our little toddler is well taken care of and she loved going there everyday. We love Cathy, JoAnne, Yen and Verine. We sincerely wish you all the best!

My son is happy going to this daycare. We love the staff here everyone is happy meeting kids at the morning and daycare manager is very responsive and I call everyday asking if my son is doing well so they always respond. I recommend this daycare 100%

Cathty Or who is executive director is very friendly and she is always reachable. She always sends news, happenings for a month.
Teachers are very helpful, friendly... My son joined this daycare when he was 1 year old, he learned and improved a lot. I could see how he loved his teachers. We were really sad that we had to change the daycare. Wishing them all the best.

Both of my daughters attend sunburst! I can honestly say that I feel confident and comfortable when my daughters are there. It is a very clean facility. The location is not on a busy road and you need a fob key to enter. You can feel that each and everyone of the staff members take pride in their job and my 3 year old comes home talking about them.
Thank you to all of the staff members for the wonderful experience that you have given my children and treating them as if they were your own.
I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone, coming from a picky mother.

My wife and I went for a tour recently for our son, who we hope to enroll here in the future. The Executive Director, Cathy Orr, was very professional, informative, and patient. She never rushed the tour, answering all questions we had, and showed us a lot more of the facility than we were expecting.
It was evident, as one other reviewer said, that the staff were caring and dedicated. Many staff had long term years in the field and at Sunburst. I started recommending this place to other friends who are looking for day care, even if it means more competition for my son to get in, because they are

Don't be mislead by the fancy pictures !
Your kid supposed to be in a very wet basement just next to diaper pales having his/her daily snack or food
I just visit them today and its shameful , I don't know how they are qualified to be a daycare centre ?
I can not even give them one star but looks like i had to , to be able to post this review !
Please do yourself a favour and choose a different type of career , you are not simply qualified for the current one.
