Services
Lumina Resort has 36 chalet cottages and a Main Lodge all nestled in and around the trees and manicured lawns of our 240 acre estate on Lake of Bays. We have cottages that can accommodate 2 families and others that are ideal for couples or small families - and everything in between. Our cottages and chalets have one to four bedrooms.
Our Executive Chef and Pastry Chef take great pride in providing wonderful, mouth watering creations, always fresh and well balanced. Most meals are table service, with buffets and B.B.Q's adding variety throughout the week. Everyday there is a children's main course and dessert option, in case they don't like the adult choices.
Lumina Resort is both restful and exciting, a very active resort where all ages find happiness, and truly memorable vacations in beautiful Muskoka, the land of bright blue waters! Our child directors at the Petticoat Junction will supervise the young ones with games and arts and crafts. Our social director will fill the adults and teens' days and evenings with tournaments, entertainment and special events.
Our Children's Program is included as part of your stay at Lumina Resort for no extra cost. Lumina has a long-standing tradition of providing a totally relaxing holiday for the whole family, and we know if the kids are happy we are half way there. Our fully supervised children's program is run twice daily.
Lake of Bays is one of Ontario's finest lakes. As it's name implies it is made up of many sheltered bays, sparkling clean water interesting sites and gorgeous shorelines to view. Other interests include, a trip up the Oxtongue river, boating by historic Bigwin Inn, viewing an old steam ship or cruising the islands.

Beautiful location right on the lake. Nice quiet area - serene and peaceful. There are loads of toys to have fun with, beach and water volleyball courts, a pool if you prefer over the lake (though the lake wasn't weedy or gross at all), a couple shuffleboard (I think) boards at the front and lots of space to accommodate events. The food was good and the staff were really friendly. The cabins are spacious with a small kitchenette, comfy beds and balconies to take in the views. The bathrooms are super small (but let's be honest we don't need space for hair and makeup up North), there are very few

My 11th year coming here after generations of my family coming to lumina and it is always the best. Cabin's are great and it is awesome for all ages. The meals are AMAZING. Its always very sad when it is time to leave. we have made many friends at lumina and have gone with family every year, over all it is an awesome resort. (the lake is also great.)

I vacationed here 42 years ago in 1978 when I was 13. I am happy that you are still charming families. I loved the yellow seaplane I took a ride in so much I became a professional pilot. It would be fun to return someday. I still remember the wooden boat dock and swimming and water skiing in the crisp crystal clear waters. I remember the clean pine air. Those little cottages and the wonderful ambiance of the resort. It was a magical time. Thank you for the memories. There is no place like Lumina. 💕

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The cabin was clean, and cozy. The food was terrific every day. And the staff was super friendly. Special shout out to Chip, Christian, and Ollie. They made our stay here at Lumina memorable and fun. This was exactly what my husband and I needed. Thankyou Vicki and Tec for sharing your little piece of paradise with us for the week. We just finished our first ever week at Lumina, and we are already booked to go again next year! The people are so friendly (staff and other guests), there are so many activities for adults and kids, and the food is really great. Totally recommend to anyone looking for a great family cottage vacation.

Spent an entire weekend for a friend's wedding. Stunning!!!! The cabin was cute and comfortable with a lake view. Meals were very tasty with great vegan options. Very hilly so if accessiblity is a requirement you need to make certain you are booked in the main chalet. It is much easier enjoying the experience without feeling trapped by stairs or nature.
