Services
There are as many reasons to join us, as there are benefits our members receive from training with us. Getting an incredible workout while learning something interesting and worthwhile is often cited. In the most comprehensive comparison of local Martial Arts Academies ever done we were ranked #1 Martial Arts School in all of Toronto.
We do ask that you be serious about taking the free trial, by having the intention of signing up for a membership if you like it, by blocking out time and committing to regularly training during the trial, by opting into our email subscription for the duration of the trial (we send helpful reminders and tips but not too many), and making a weekly check in appointment to discuss how your training is going.
Our Adult programs include Co-Ed classes for beginners known as White Belt only on our schedule. Advanced classes for those who are ranked Blue Belt and higher (with select advanced white belts receiving special permission to attend). Mixed level co-ed classes from white belt to black belt. And our famous Women Only classes.
At Toronto BJJ we offer amazing classes for your children ages 3 to 12 years old. The benefits of children training martial arts includes the obvious increased: self-confidence, discipline, and co-ordination. In addition to fun and exercise, other benefits of note include increased executive functioning skills and socialization.

This is long overdue. I came here back in Fall of 2018. I was there for an event and needed to train. Professor was generous and let me train and gave me some solid guard passing advice. This is a predominantly Gi gym, though Professor offered to roll me in NoGi.

I attended the morning class, and it's mainly nice, working class folks. I will say, I was the smallest by far... at 125 lbs and 5'0". However the warm up was great, and the rolls were great too. I'll be coming back if I'm ever in town!

I'm looking forward to see how this place grows over time.

Trained BJJ here twice the other week while on a business trip from LA. The instructor, Dave, was welcoming and the other students were cool (and didn't try to beat me up too badly!). Good experience and will definitely try to stop back in the next time I'm in town.

I did a trial class yesterday with Nathan. While this place isn't the fanciest (they don't even water fountains, just tap water) and a bare bones change room, it is kept fairly clean. While I was waiting for my trial class to start, Dylan and Josh were at the front and were very friendly and were attempting to make people laugh (they did a poor job at it, but the A+ effort). Regardless, very friendly people. In terms of the class itself, it was quite good as Nathan went through the very basics (there was only three of us in the class) as we all said we had no experience with BJJ

Why aren't you training here?! Huge schedule, world class instructors and a family friendly atmosphere. If you want to go pro or just get in shape this is the best jiujitsu in the city/province in my opinion.

Excellent gym with great instructors and training partners. I was in town for a visit and decided to check this place out. Professor Jorge Britto was very welcoming and ran a great class. I would definitely recommend this gym.

Great place to work out , fairly clean and the trainers are good . The place has an octagon on the second floor and the whole floor is matted. First floor has a boxing ring and some bags to work out on. There is also a small weights area where you can weight train. The place gets crowded during peak hours , usually after 5 pm but other than that it's not too bad.

I went to Toronto BJJ for Muay Thai for about 5 months. I was a beginner and went there after work. The instructors were great and the people were friendly. I did enjoyed my time training there and I went about three times a week. The monthly membership fee is somewhat higher than average, but still acceptable.

The problem is that the way management deal with customer is not the best customer service. Due to change of work location, I had to stop going there after work. I originally signed a 6 months contract with them, so I emailed them months before the contract end date that I'd like

Toronto BJJ is the best place to train in Toronto. Instructors are first rate, and are dedicated to the success and development of each of their students. The new kickboxing instructor is amazing - he gives continuous and specific feedback and motivates everyone to blaze through their limits. The gym is clean and steps from the subway. All the members and staff are extremely respectful and kind to women. If you're a women unsure about the vibe at a martial arts gym - this is a safe and encouraging space for everyone.

I will review this place, but keep in mind I trained here for 2 years (2007/2008) and I haven't been back in awhile. I still have many close friends who train here.

Toronto BJJ is a 2 story martial arts club located on Bloor St near Christie Pitts.

The main floor has reception, a small weights room (all new equipment) and a small muay thai training area with a boxing ring in the corner. I believe this area is currently being expanded. Down the hall are male/female change rooms with washrooms/showers.

The upstairs is large with mats for BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) training and a cage at the

Toronto BJJ is great for all levels of BJJ/Muay Thai practioners. Have a look at yourself at the training schedule, the different disciplines that are taught and the quality of the instructors and you will see why this is the best jiu jistu academy in Ontario and maybe Canada (we have some world champions training here).

Prices are very reasonable and there is a two day trial period where you can try out all the classes. Come check it out, great way to burn some serious calories and learn a new martial art.

Men, women and children classes available.
