We had our car towed 3 Km and they charged us $ 186 for a basic tow. Traffic control came out and parked their vehicle behind ours with 4 way flashers on?

Not impressed with this rip off company, stay away!
Unfortunately when you break down you don't have time to look for reviews, so I will be planning ahead and entering a different towing company into my phone.

4x vehicle was towed there on two wheels, damaged transmission. Charged $40 a day impound fee at a sketchy lot outside Edmonton. Vehicle was released to me by the driver transportation board, I paid the fees and then prepaid to have my vehicle dropped off nearby. 6 hours later it arrives, being towed improperly again. The plate which was attached when I paid to have it delivered is gone. When I ask where it is I'm told the RCMP had showed up after I left and taken it. I thought that seemed odd being such a small random window of time to do that ship I called the RCMP who told me they

Stay far, far away.
They damaged our vehicle when changing out a flat tire for a spare. We called them and one of dispatch girls told us that this happens all the time and that we would be reimbursed. Ha! WRONG. Dealing with them was a complete nightmare. Thankfully we involved a third party (who would have paid for the damage if Double L Towing didn't) but Double L finally reimbursed us for the repair costs. Definitely questionable that we were not refunded for the shoddy flat tire job, too - but beggars can't be choosers.
We are with AMA now but AMA does contract Double
