Shaun Pierce has been an independent mortgage broker since 2002. He started in the business following in his mom's, Lesley Pierce (retired), footsteps. Shaun has a passion for mortgages and real estate, having bought and managed many rental properties. Shaun took over Creative Mortgage in 2011 at which time the firmed joined Verico Financial Group Inc. which allowed us to offer even more financial options to our clients.
The Home Trust Secured VISA Credit Card helps you establish or re-establish your credit even if you have had credit difficulties in the past or if you have no credit history. It's an excellent opportunity for students, new comers to Canada and past bankrupts. The Home Trust Secured VISA requires applicants to "secure" the VISA card by submitting a deposit equal to the credit limit of the card ($1,000 - $10,000) with the application.
As a first time buyer you may not have to pay the property transfer tax, up to a maximum purchase price of $500,000. There are some qualifications which we can explain. This is a tax applicable to buyers who have owned before, are buying a rental home or have not lived in B.C. for a minimum of one year.
In order for you to be approved for a reverse mortgage, there is specific criteria that the underwriting team reviews. Outlined below are several key areas reverse mortgage lenders consider before approving you. Reverse Mortgage Lenders will provide a reverse mortgage on most home types (detached, semi-detached, townhomes, condos, mobile homes).

Shuan is a very knowledgeable, organized, and detail oriented. We applied for a mortgage earlier, but were not qualified due to our temporary employment. When I got my permanent position, we approached Shaun again and he remembered all our details and quickly began our new application. He is honest, approachable, and very capable at what he does. Shaun is great, he takes the time to explain things clearly, takes initiative, and is available for questions. I felt supported throughout the process.
Shaun found a lender who could offer us a very low rate, and made sure our mortgage was approved in time for our deadline despite it being one a very tight timeline.
