To create a picture of great Whole Body Health, one must understand that all individuals are unique in their health needs and nutritional requirements. Working with health professionals who specialize in nutrition and wellness can help you to understand your specific nutritional needs. Oral Health Therapy often focuses on the bacteria present in the mouth and on the removal of irritants such as plaque and tartar.
This approach deals with the signs and symptoms of oral disease but not on the root cause. Oral disease, whether it is gum disease or dental decay, are signs of inflammation and should be looked at more thoroughly. Research has shown that nutrition in relation to maintaining a healthy level of macronutrients and micronutrients can greatly improve a person's inflammatory status.

Beneficial bacteria in our bodies ensure our body functions properly and we get the nutrients we need from our food. We can spend money on super supplements, superfoods and the best food available but do we really absorb the nutrients that we need to function, prevent disease and stay healthy? Our bodies are brilliantly designed and they work very hard to maintain a state of balance.
