In 2005, Chef Pedro Dos Santos and Marilyn Simms began on a journey to make people and the planet happy with food. From being the first catering company to use Plant Based tableware to specialising in Vegan menus and being members of 1% for the Planet, Vert continues to this day with the same vision it started with.
We have been serving many of our customers since we opened and continue to feel fortunate to make food for corporate Toronto everyday with care, passion and creativity. Our community partner, the Toronto Community Hostel continues to enjoy from the day we opened, untouched surplus catering food brought directly from our events, 24 hours a day.

Popped by this unassuming little neighbourhood take-out place on Dovercourt and was surprised to find out that it's actually one of the big caterers of Toronto! They've done events for U of T, Massey Hall, Cadillac-Fairview, and for various celebrities and luminaries across the city, but nowadays, with big events cancelled, they've had to shift to take-out meals.
This place has generous portions, and their food is super flavourful! Tonight we tried the fried chicken sandwich and the smoked meat sandwich, and both were terrific. Will definitely be back for the smash burger, the poutine

I have used Vert Catering for many years to cater my holiday party (alas not last year and maybe not this). They have also catered dinners for me at my home and Zoom lunches for my staff in the pandemic. Pedro is ambidextrous: Mediterranean, Asian, Roast beef and Yorkshires -- the list goes on and on. Marilyn is meticulous at planning and helping. I cannot recommend them enough and cannot wait for their creations for my father's 80th birthday party next weekend!

DELICIOUS! I placed my first order for a week's worth of food (I despise cooking) and WOW! Everything made my tastebuds explode! I was worried that the meat might get dry after reheating, but to my delight, it was super juicy - cooked to perfection! I've tried a few other meal delivery services, and although convenient, the food was very average. Vert is restaurant quality—you can tell they have bonafide chefs preparing the meals. I feel so spoiled! I highly recommend the golden beet salad! I don't even like beets, but this salad made me a believer...and the salad dressing is my new favourite

Awesome spot!!! Yesterday I tried the chicken sandwich with fries. Generous portion and everything was so tasty! My friends tried the smoked meat sandwich and the miso-eggplant sandwich and they both really enjoyed them- especially the eggplant which I hope to try soon, looked amazing. I really love the mix of comfort food with healthier options that Vert has. Everyone was super friendly too. Will be a regular spot in my take-out rotation.

I can't say enough good things about Marilyn and the gang over at Vert Casse-Croute + Catering! I first heard of Vert Catering through a referral and wow am I glad I did! I have been ordering at home boxed meals for the last 5-months form them due to Covid-19 which has saved me a ton of time in the kitchen, with meals 10x better then I could ever prepare. Their meals are phenomenal and just like moms home cooking.
Their meals are very well thought out, each box is enough to feed a grown man and always fresh and delicious. They last 4-5 days in the fridge no problem, freezer much longer! They rotate

We were given a gift certificate for 10 delivered meals from Verte Casse Croute & Catering. The food was delivered exactly at the time we specified, by friendly staff. The meals were SO delicious: they were tasty, fresh and homemade, and we were happy to have had a variety of meals to choose from. Highly recommend their meal delivery service!

My organization had Vert cater an event for around 50 people in Chinatown, including breakfast, lunch and snacks. Vert's nonprofit menu fit our needs very well. The breakfast items were great -- delicious scones, fresh fruit. Lunch sandwiches were quite tasty, and the pakoras were a hit. The snack bags were a nice pick-me-up in the mid-afternoon. Through everything, Marilyn was very responsive and flexible. Vert has a process for donating uneaten food to minimize waste as much as possible. It was a pleasure working with Marilyn and I highly recommend Vert.

Love this place! Biked and drove by it for more than a few months before buying a Groupon for it. Home-cooked meals for 12 bucks - 1 protein and 2 sides. Usually a vegetarian option and 2 or 3 meat options. Tasty, easy, healthy. I've picked up 2 meals, which feed me, my partner, and our 3 year-old nicely...
