Wishy washy operating hours. They don’t update their hours and are often closed.
Might be because of frequent COVID illnesses

Best shrimp wanton pho in town. Absolutely the nicest chef/owner who puts her heart and soul into every dish. And is always smiling ear to ear. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

We've been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed
The food is authentic and always made with fresh ingredients. Their Pho is the best that I've ever tasted. My wife's favorite is the Pad Thai. The owner, "Tania," is very friendly. Ask her about the picture hanging on the wall with all of the people. VERY interesting.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Was happy to hear they had Beef Stew. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was absolutely delicious. Their beef stew is REALLY good, better than the one I was thinking of. I was used to having it with rice or a baguette, theirs came with rice noodle or egg noodles (I had rice noodle). I poured it out into a larger bowl at home and there were so many tender chunks of beef. The picture included doesn't even show all of the beef and broth in the bowl.
So good. So tasty. Very much worth the $. Will have to go back again soon.

The freshest, and most delicious food! Authentic and best pho around. I am blown away by this gem in Newmarket and I don't usually care much for food or reviews but I had to comment on this one because I couldn't believe how great an experience I had with the food and the owner.
Also these spring rolls deserve an award.. I have NEVER tasted anything so good.

Ordered from here a few times now. They are very accommodating with me watching my carbs. I often swap noodles with my pho for extra bean sprouts and they are VERY generous. The broth is always piping hot and flavourful.
My family loves their spring rolls. I'm docking a star because recently we ordered fried rice and when we opened it, it was literally burnt. There was chunks of black burnt specs all through out and it just tasted burnt all the way through. Not sure how the kitchen let that slip. But we called and let them know and they just kind of said "ok thanks for letting us know

Really enjoyed the food here. I ordered a pho which was delicious and perfect for a windy and chilly day. The Thai curry my freind order wasnt really Thai curry, rather curry thickened with corn starch. It tasted pretty good though, however it was made. Although we werr told it was medium heat there was a lot of heat.

This is my favourite place to go with my father all the time the staff are always so nice and so welcoming. If you are to stop by there I recommend as a customer I recommend their phò it is really good it bursts with flavour and really is enjoyable or if you like meat more I would get the Mint garden special It comes with beef chicken and prock with spring rolls and rice it is really filling.I honestly think anyone new to newmarket or even canada try this place out because trust me you won't regret it.

I have been meaning to try this place for some time now, and I finally got the opportunity.

The restaurant is small, but houses about 12 tables. Most of which were full when we arrived. We were seated quickly and given our menus.

The fresh spring rolls were great, the avocado was an interesting twist on a classic.

The Pad Thai was really good, however, I asked them to sub out the chicken for beef. My wife had the pork vermicelli which was pretty awesome. My kids stuck with the rare beef pho.

The food was amazing. The only issue I have was the service. It is a family run place, but

Mint garden is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and a real gem! We just moved to the area and were worried we'd have to trek to Scarborough for good Pho, but luckily we found Mint Garden. The spring rolls and wontons are made fresh daily! Tania the owner is a sweetheart. We'll definitely be back to eat-in or get take out! Tried the rare beef and flank pho - delicious! And the wonton soup was the best I've had.

I'm not going to lie, I only even come here for the pho - but it does not disappoint.
This small, family run restaurant is particularly unassuming, and we would have all but ignored it had we not seen the reviews. I am glad we decided to stop in because this is now our go to for all things pho :)

Mint Garden is a nice little place in Newmarket that serves decent pho at a decent price. Given the options nearby, it is one of the few restaurants that serves authentic and tasty asian food.

Price: 3/5 - if i recall correctly it was $9 (maybe $8) for a large bowl of pho. This price is comparable to other restaurants in the GTA in terms of price.

Food: 3/5 - i got a large bowl of pho with rare beef. The pho and soup base was good and so was the beef, which was pretty soft. My only complaint is that i did not get much beef at all. If you see my picture attached to this review, you will see it

Seems like a family owned restruant, very nice and friendly owner. The fried calamari was amazing, pho was good too. Had the pho with rare beef and beef frank, it would be nice if it had beef tendons too. But overall nice small restruant with a nice environment.

This is hands down the best Pho in Newmarket! The soup is just AMAZING!

Lovely little place, good food & nice people. Stick with the lunch specials if you're in a hurry. They are good, fast & inexpensive. Delving deeper into the menu is just a little more expensive & can take a little longer if they're busy but it's well worth the exploration & the time if you're not in a rush. Try the Mint Garden Special Vermicelli for a filling selection of the flavours typical of this restaurant. The appetizers are good too. Definitely worth a regular lunch date.

BEST PHO IN NEWMARKET!! We have been passing this place never giving it a try but we finally did & so happy!! Family owned, with local clientele and very casual. We ordered the vegetarian roll with cashew sauce (no peanuts there due to peanut allergies so safe to bring kids) the vietnamese rolls were excellent & we both had the beef pho which was very delicious & flavourful. We will be back as found a hidden "pho" gem in Newmarket that's authentic & legit!!

The shrimp on sugar cane search has not ended here. The sugar cane was so small that it was hidden in the shrimp (which I didn't notice through 3 slices of the shrimp(?) mixture. Interesting idea but more successful theoretically than practically. The grilled pork was fine. Despite the many pictures of mint, there was no mint/basil/coriander or peanuts on the dish. The spring rolls were a little undercooked and more mushy than noodle-y.

The avocado shake was good-creamy and not-too-sweet.

Overall the place was okay, but not good enough to go back.

Recommended from coworker. I had the lunch special grilled chicken with steamed rice. The chicken was a bit burnt and a bit undercooked on the inside (I'm a bit paranoid about these things, so it could be just me) but the spring roll that came with it was really good! Price was about $8 after tax and tips.
