We moved from SoCal to Calgary in November, and chose to go with Trans Canada Movers because we were impressed by how responsive they were when we were obtaining quotes for the move. Throughout the entire process, Mike & the rest of the TCM team were courteous and informative. Our stuff got stuck in Vancouver due to the heavy rains and flooding, and they were good about updating us whenever we called in. Thank you, Mike & team, for your great customer service!

My husband and I called Trans Canada Movers inquiring about moving fees and scheduling. We were concerned about a trustworthy company. We spoke with Jake, the Sales Agent and we were impressed with his skills and expertise. Jake informed us as to the cost of transporting our personal and household items, scheduling and pickup and drop off services. Jake was very polite, courteous and professional. Trans Canada movers were great to work with - I moved from Vancouver to Washington recently. They were quick & efficient at pick up, really responsive when coordinating the dates & location of the move. And their delivery & delivery people were top notch. Loved working with Conor who patiently answered all my questions through email & on phone. Overall, would recommend them to everyone.

My experience with Trans Canada Movers was excellent. They handled everything professionally in preparation for the transportation of my belongings from Vancouver to Los Angeles all while I was already in California. Great service, I was amazed how quickly my belongings arrived and the costs were less than I expected.

Mike got back to me last week, after being made aware of my concerns regarding the weight of the truck and the broken items. Once I provided proof from my last movers that even prior to discarding several large items my truck weight had only been 2700lbs, they were willing to consider that there had been perhaps error in weighing my items. They tried to find the scale weights but had been unable to, so we agreed upon a weight of 2500lbs. They wound up giving me a refund of several hundred dollars accordingly. I do have to say that this did impress

First time using movers or moving away from immediate family. Pretty stressful so granted it's not easy. The process, in the end, wasn't so bad - all the stuff got to us. The reason I'm giving 2/5 is because the communication could of been better, was charged for boxes I didn't know I would need, and 3 items had to be left behind even though I was reassured 2x there was enough room (picture attached of the room that the truck with 3 boxes of our stuff loaded so far, just shows how much room they left for us - lol). I had items that I taped together, bubble wrapped like crazy, or just had a label

Tammy at Trans Canada Movers was my first point of contact with move from Camarillo California back to South Surrey, British Columbia. What a delightful experience! Tammy was able to give me a very accurate estimate of the cost of move. Tammy is efficient and knowledgeable about international moving. Move was seamless. From pickup, storage and delivery, crews were great!!! Very respectful of carpets,flooring and our belongings, everything arrived in mint condition. Thanks to everyone at Trans Canada, well done!!!

They quoted me a price of $4700 for a from Richmond VA. to Montreal CA.. When it was time for delivery they demanded $7200 or they wouldn't unload. Not sure how their estimate was off by 60%, well I do now. They were payed to pack and load in Richmond. When we started unpacking we found they put in a large box, the lamp in one box and the lamp shade in another. Also in a large box just a regular toaster oven. In another large box there was a food processor and 6 glasses. So far none of the boxes unpacked are close to half full. Of the 15 boxes unpacked so far, I could have

Great service, friendly staff and a great experience overall. We were nervous at first with so many companies to choose from but we went with Trans Canada because their BBB rating was the highest at an A+.

Service for me has been excellent - with a lot of flexibility and understanding being shown by Tammy and team on my San Diego to Vancouver move, and back again (which is really essential when dealing with cross-border shipping complexities). The move team was punctual, friendly, efficient and did a great job protecting the goods.
Not sure why all the negative comments on here, but I know I personally have been a total pain to Tammy and she's beared with me very well throughout. These people leaving reviews are describing characteristics that are completely the opposite to my experiences

The crew at Trans-Canada Movers were great! They moved me from Portland, OR to Vancouver, BC, and it could not have been a better experience.
From the first phone call, everything was explained to me about price, what their estimate would be, and delivery. Because I was already in BC and my things were still in Portland, they were unable to do an actual estimate based on seeing everything. The quotes I got from Portland companies were 3500 lbs and 4000 lbs, and the actual weight of everything was in the 3300 lb. range. Their price was still $1500 less than the two American companies.

Upon reading all the great reviews on HomeStars about this mover, I decided to work with them to move my stuff from Vancouver to San Francisco.
The move ended up being a total nightmare. Tammy was the person we worked with and she has been an absolute pain throughout the entire process.
1. They overweighed our stuff by 1,000 lbs. Only after we argued and insisted over and over again that they made a mistake did they rescale our stuff to discover their mistake and they never apologized for it.
2. They give you 1 - 2 days notice before delivery. If you want a specific date, you have to pay $500
