Services
There are 5 convenient Capital Vision Care clinics located throughout Edmonton and Morinville. Each of them are outfitted with the latest in diagnostic technology, designer frames, and an eager team of expert optometrists and opticians to help you through every step of your eye care journey. At Capital Vision Care we know how important your eyes are to you.
Dr. Wong grew up in Montreal and moved to Edmonton when she was twelve. Recalling the difference she experienced after her first eye exam and first pair of glasses, Dr. Wong became devoted to providing people with the same experience. Dr. Wong obtained her Doctorate of Optometry in 1993 from University of Waterloo.
Dr. Shih grew up in the small town of Fort McMurray. After graduating from the University of Alberta in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in microbiology, Dr. Shih completed her Doctor of Optometry in 2007 at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Shih joined the practice following an internship with Capital Vision Care.
Dr. Weisbeck was born and raised in St. Albert. After a year at the University of Alberta, she relocated to Quebec where she graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Universit de Montral with a fellowship and many scholarships and awards. She did her practicum in Providence, Rhode Island, and is now practicing full-scope optometry at the Morinville clinic.
At Capital Vision Care we endeavor to be guides on our patient's eye care journey. This means that our eye exams are completed on state of the art technology in order to detect eye problems at their earliest stage. Regular eye exams are an important part of your health care regimen and give us the opportunity to help you correct or adapt to vision changes.

A very pleasant experience. I had called in the morning to see if I could get a sty checked. I have had no previous appointments here.The receptionist invited me to come as a walk in right after lunch. I was seen by Dr. Weisbeck, given a thorough exam and recommended treatment. Very grateful for their kind, professional care.

Everyone at the clinic was so helpful and thorough. Our appointments were right on time and efficient. After our appointments, we were helped out in choosing new glasses. The staff at the Morinville location are very knowledgeable and we appreciated their input. My daughter and I had a very positive experience as always!

Right from entering the office which is very clean; the receptionists help you right away, very thorough eye exams are provided; all the Optometrists are wonderful, they questions if you have any. The Opticians took great lengths to ensure the glasses were fitting properly, making sure you are aware of the different type of lenses. They follow up making sure the glasses / lenses are fitting right & there are no other concerns.
I'm very happy with Capital Vision Care, Morinville; the Staff are wonderful

I just sat in the waiting room with an emergency eye problem for nearly 4 hours. The last hour not one appointment showed up and the place was empty other than a couple people looking at glasses. I asked when I walked in the door if they could help me and was told no problem at all. They failed me as a patient today completely! Only one staff member came to check on me once and said it was not going to be much longer, 2 hours after that I had to leave with my eye still a major problem, I just couldn't wait any longer. What to take from this experience? This place is not equipped or ready to handle
