I have fallen in love with everything about Sandy Hill Dental! Dr Major takes the time to educate and treat her patients with true caring and the staff and patients have embraced my new position here with warmth and smiles. Dr. Major is looking forward to working with you to help you maintain a healthy smile for life. Dr. Catherine Major completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. After practising in Stratford, Ontario, Dr. Major moved to Ottawa, her husband's childhood home.
Believing that oral health is indispensable and the right of all, Dr. Major has volunteered in Zimbabwe, Laos and Sri Lanka where she needed both compassion and patience to guide many patients through their first dental experience.Her highest priority is building a relationship of mutual respect and trust with her patients through open communication.

I have been a resident of Sandy Hill for two years. I’m currently looking for a new dentist and thought this place would be super convenient, they also had great reviews.
I filled out their online form for new patient requests and received an Email back from the practice manager who said that they are accepting new patients but that unfortunately they don’t accept patients with my type of insurance.
I am a person with a disability and my dental coverage is through the Ontario government. My insurance covers yearly cleanings and check-ups, x-rays, fillings and repairs - basically everything

I have great confidence in this dental practice. They are efficient, prompt, friendly, options are always discussed and explained. I have never once felt pressured into a decision and always feel as if my best interest as a patient are taking into consideration. I would recommend this office without any hesitation.

I had an excellent experience here. Their covid precautions felt thorough and all the staff were great to interact with. Dr. Major was really professional and my hygienist, Jane, was absolutely lovely and made the experience as fun as it could be while having your gums poked. She took the time to explain everything that she was doing and you can tell she enjoys her job! Thank you!

To be honest, I went to different dentists. Experience that I have with this dental care centre is great and I never had such a great experience pushing me to write this review. The equipments are modern and the explanations provided by the dentist and her team is more than enough. This makes you feel comfortable. I appreciate their efforts. All in all, they are excellent and I do recommend them.

This has been my dentist since I moved to Ottawa four years ago, and I absolutely love them. I always feel comfortable and that I'm in good hands. At my first appointment, I told Dr. Major about a bad experience I had with a dentist in which they didn't wait long enough for the numbing, and she's always been extra attentive to that part of any procedure we do. The receptionist and the rest of the staff are friendly and professional, and I couldn't recommend this centre more!!

Extremely unprofessional! I booked a spot 3 weeks in advance only for it to be canceled 2 days before the appointment. They offered another spot for 4 weeks later!!
