We wanted to stay at the 5 stars hotel and found this. This hotel looked beautiful in the pictures on the internet. We were very disappointed when arrived. Hotel deserves maximum 3 stars and the photographer an award. It looked like a communist factory. All is dark with carpets from ‘90, furniture is old. The only good things are - renovated bathroom and breakfast.

This is not good like it is used to be our hotel room has 1 big bed and 1 extra and the extra one is to small for a person that is 160 cm tall, the bar at the roof top takes to long we told them that we wanted a club sanwitch and we have been wating for 1 and a halv hour for it. We also took 2 icecream balls and I have Bern wating for 30 minutes this is taking so long time there is no way this is a 5 star hotel so bad service here. And our shower dident even work

Very beautiful hotel, with classy and minimalistic design. The view from our room was magnificent. Very clean, tasty food and the breakfast included everything one might wanted. Last but not least, (and the reason I am writing this post) is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. I would like to thank them once more. We arrived late at night and they offered us a crib, for our 2month baby boy, free of charge, without a pre-order.

We got absolutely CATFISHED by this place. Looks so cute online. The ceiling is multicolored with mold, the sheets contain foreign hairs woven into them. Black and gray stains of mystery substance are present on the pillows. The room looked like a multipurpose room with 2 beds shoved in there. We had to pay $20 extra so that a fourth person could stay in a four person room. We had to. The common area of our floor had an indescribable aroma. The elevator is about 2 days from breaking down. In other news, Chatime a few blocks away has good boba. That is all.

Ok hotel, old and needs updating. Carpet was badly stained in room and very noisy because of the Skytrain statiion. Had a problem checking in because staff would not accept credit card that was to expire in over a month, had to rely on friend's card. However, when complained next morning, the problem was resolved. The bar and grill attached to hotel is fine, but clientele is questionable.

Location: Literally just behind the Columbia Skytrain station. About 30 mins to get downtown from there. I would say neighborhood is pretty safe. There's a convenience store located inside the Skytrain station.
Rooms: Not new or anything but they are decently furnished with various amenities and are clean. Housekeeping is excellent and honestly I'm surprised by the amount of attention to detail which I'd say is comparable to high-end hotels. I had housekeeping for each of the 4 days there and find that toiletries, towels etc. were all neatly arranged each time, and bathtub, sinks

We loved our stay at the Met Hotel! It is a historical building with small and quaint rooms. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and even allowed us to upgrade to a king size room when we decided to stay an extra night. The hotel is located half a block from the Columbia Sky Train station so it's easy and convenient to go downtown Vancouver. Lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby in New Westminster, so plenty to enjoy during your stay.

I love this place. It's so unique. The vintage look, the smell, the interior design; it's like taking a step back in time a bit. A sort of retreat, especially when you sit in the lounge area that's on each floor. There's also little secrets like the micro wave and vending machine are located on the 2nd floor. I feel like this hotel is very relaxing.
It's not fancy, but it's clean and looks beautiful. Compare to other more expensive hotels, The Met keep up just as well as the others - in quality of service, classiness and comfort.

I don't know why this hotel has gotten an 8.5/10 rating on hotel booking websites. The rooms smelt incredibly awful. It seriously smelt like they smoked and then to mask the scent they sprayed cheap air freshened all over. It was too late for me too change my hotel or else I was planning on leaving, one night was too much. The room made me so nauseous. Talk about customer service. The that old guy that sat at the front desk was obnoxious, did not know customer service at all! Never recommending this hotel.

Very clean hotel. Price for us with the 2 dogs was a bit higher because of the pet fee but for the one night we stayed, it was perfect. Tall ceilings and windows and a nice large room. Comfy king bed. Convenient location to stores and a Subway for sandwiches plus they have a nice pub.
In reading the other reviews, you can park on the street for free after 6PM until 8AM and we had a 2nd floor room eye level and right in front of the Sky Train station and we heard very little train noise at all.
We live in New Westminster but needed a place to stay one night while undergoing some home renos

We recently stayed here on our way up to Whistler. The rooms were clean and I loved that they had Bath & Body works products in the bathroom (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, soap). The only downside is we couldn't seem to figure out the heat so it was a pretty cool night (although in hindsight we should have asked the staff). We couldn't beat the price for $50. I would definitely stay here again.

If YOU want a cozy, near-by various shops and places to eat, near Metro train for easy transportation - this is the place to stay. Just by "liking" them on facebook, we got $25 CAD off!
The reason for the 5th star - We stayed on the second floor, facing the Metro train, so it was noisy at night with people screaming and other funny, but entertaining noises.
The room - Clean, comfortable and neat. General Lay-out - small, yet comfortable. Parking is not free and is charged with tax.
