It's a disgusting place they lack empathy towards their customers. I completely understand we are in a Pandemic, and we all are saving money. However, reduce the price if the quantity is reduced. I felt like the prices are made on the spot, each individual says a different price. Moreover, I found a piece of hair in my ladoo the light brown one. I wonder if hands are being washed when food is being handled under COVID-19 rules. I never leave a comment as such but I have come to closure that my family will not be eating from there anymore.

We ordered samosa chaat paneer pakora Chole bhature and masala tea.The samosa chaat was so good tasted just like India.Store was very clean specially the bathroom.Servers were super nice.They did ask For the proof of vaccination which I don’t mind.Overall it’s a good Restaurant and you should try it.

I don’t literally like posting negative reviews online but it was my birthday and the experience was so unsatisfactory, first of all the cutlery wasn’t clean at all and then food was second rate. We ordered 3 to 4 dishes expecting at least they would have something good, unfortunately we didn’t like anything……………1 star is just for the ladies those who were serving us…..

Usually we ordered alot from this Place however I will Not order anything or dine in there because I went this place just today after a long time and I saw a huge Change in quantity of food. I ordered Panner tikka masala as in the picture, it looks like small quantity , however I ordered large of $13.00. Get it totally its covid, but you guys should reduce price if reducing quantity.

Great fresh Indian food. This place was really busy when we went there even during non rush hour ( 230pm). We were seated pretty quickly and waiter took our orders. I had to go up to the counter to pick my options for the thaali ( platter). The mutter panneer was super fresh and delicious. All the other items - malai kofta, aloo jeera, rice, garlic naan and raita were great as well. The fish pakora we ordered was so tasty!!!the fish was fresh and perfectly seasoned, served with green and red chutneys. There are a ton of dessert options here too, the gulab Jamun was simply delicious. Would love

Came here on a Friday evening. It was my first time here so it was a bit overwhelming. They have a take out menu so look at that. I'm Chinese so I had no idea what to order. Although the front cashier lady was super nice and told me what's good and what specials they had. So I ordered a vegetable Thali. That includes 3 vegetarian dishes, rice, naan and a dessert which was awesome! Absolutely going to order that again!
They're samosas are to die for and they're $1 for 2! So cheap! They come with this green sauce that's tangy and garlicky it's so yummy!

Five stars for the best basmati rice I've had so far. I have not been to many other Indian restaurants, and I've cooked my own basmati at home. I'd come back here just for the rice.
It is mostly a take-out place with a line up of Indian customers, and the seating seems more of an afterthought but we were seated and served nevertheless, and we thoroughly enjoyed the flavors compared with other places we have been. I liked the bread too, but I want to come back again just for the basmati rice.

Sweet mahal is located in a corner plaza of rexdaleblvd(derry rd) and humberwood blvd facing east. The plaza has lots of car parking and bike parking. Anyways lets come to the point hehe yes food. We have ordered chole bhature (chick peas cooked with spices turned into gravy or curry along fried bread known as bhatura) and Aaloo parantha(stuffed with lots of spices and mashed potatoes basically served in breakfasts in INDIA).
Side order was Mango shake and Chai(tea- boiled with homemade masala and milk) best thing you can ever drink if you go to indian restaurants.
I know the service was bit slow

Was taken to lunch at Sweet Mahal the other day by a couple of co-workers. I chose the veg-thali plant, which seems to be much larger than others. For only $8.99, it was quite a good deal and so yummy.
I chose a potato dish, chick peas and okra. All very well spiced and flavourful. Came with 2 huge pieces of naan, choice of plain or garlic.
We also ordered some veg pakoras for appetizers. I found them to be a bit drier than normal and very salty. And overall, the food temperature could have been a lot warmer.

I go here on a regular basis for takeout and occasionally for dine-in. Their samosas are the best. 3 for $1 and they are big and you get sauce on the side (no charge). The sweets are very good as well and the display is very appetizing.
For dine-in, I have never hard to wait for a table and they seat you right away. The service is straightforward and they are short and to the point. This can come across as rude but that's that just how it. It could be perceived as a negative especially if you have never been to a small Indian restaurant like this. The food

I wanted few sweets as takeout and wanted to have veg thali there.
So i went counter thinking I had to order and pay before I get my order for veg thali .
Lady at counter helped me with sweets , she got call in between so she just went on answering her call and I had to wait for like 5-6 mins she didn't care .
When I asked about thali she said just order on the serving station. People at serving station told me to sit on empty table (all atble have reserved note ...Strange and confusing

Every so often, we like to check out a different casual mom 'n pop Indian cafe in search of our favorite comfort food... channa bhatura! So, last Sunday, we were in the area and checked out Sweet Mahal, located in a strip mall in Rexdale.
For those of you who don't know what channa bhatura is... channa is your typical "channa masala" dish made of chick peas in a spicy, tangy gravy and bhatura is a fried bread made from white flour. The dish is served with onions and carrot pickles...

I never make it to this part of town but when I got here I knew that I can find authentic Indian food in the area so I pulled yelp out and found this restaurant.
Initially i thought this was a sweet dessert only restaurant but then saw lots of locals enjoying their food.
The food is authentic, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual in a lovely Indian fast food way.
