There are a variety of ways for a business to be operated. The most common are - sole proprietorship, partnership and incorporation. When starting a new venture, Mark assists clients with developing the best model for them. In most cases, accounting advice is required and Mark works with your accountant to determine the best business model for your venture.
The drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorneys afford your family and friends a clear picture of your intentions when you are not able to speak for yourself due to death or infirmity. These documents constitute your legacy. If you die without a Will (an intestacy), the devolution of your estate will be determined by provisions of the the Succession Law Reform Act and the Family Law Act.
The other chair on the panel is Professor Narayan Kar, who is the director of the Faculty of Engineering's Electric Vehicle laboratory. Mark will be joined on the panel. The issue becomes, upon your death, how does your Executor demonstrate legal authority to access those accounts to use, change or close them?

If I could give 0 stars I would. This isn't even my lawyer, bought a house and their lawyers had the keys. Being told I could just pickup the keys on Monday, I showed up in the morning and this lady at the front desk started losing it on me that I don't own the house yet and we have to wait for the bank. Instead of being kind and explaining she was rude and ignorant. Can't believe you can treat someone like that 8 months pregnant, day of their house closing and when I drove two hours to get to your law firm. So unprofessional, the worst experience just from walking through the door.

Mark and his staff have been simply exceptional! I am a repeat customer for my real estate needs and found everything to go exactly as planned. Mark and his staff really take the worry away and make everything run smoothly. Specifically, Mary from his office is great at getting things done and done early! She had keys to our new place to us before 11am on closing day and had everything processed for the sale around the same time two weeks later (bridge loan). We are very satisfied and will be certain to have Mark MacKew's office work for us again as needed!
