We will send an email prior to arrival with a unique entry code and check-in instructions. We have simply eliminated our front desk. This allows our guests to arrive on their own schedule and allows our staff more time to interact with the guests who would like assistance. While we do not offer breakfast, we have some recommendations.
Harvest Cafe on Mill street is only a 1 minute walk and offers great fresh dishes as well as coffee and treats. Bow and Stern, in District 1881 offers a great weekend brunch. Cora's is located in the Cotton Wood Mall by Highway 1 and has a great selection before you hit the road. Some guests like a truly unplugged getaway.

I stayed in one of the Antique rooms which are really nice. There was a claw bathtub in the room which was deep enough for soaking.
Unfortunately I was staying in a room that is over a local pub and there was a lot of noise overnight during the weekend. Weekdays were pretty quiet.
The downside of staying in a heritage Hotel is that there are lots of stairs to get up to the rooms. This is very difficult for people like me with mobility issues.

It’s a neat old building, unique, clean, and interesting, with lots of brew houses nearby, but it’s in a rough area. Our car got a window smashed and an item stolen while parked out front on Wellington overnight, so make sure to clean out your vehicle and keep your valuables with you. It wasn’t the hotels fault, but people who don’t know the area should be aware. Also, because of the age of the hotel, noise travels easily between rooms (!!), and we found the heat/air system to be quite loud. I suggest earplugs.

It was a good experience. Basic needed things are in around to it.
Administration needs to understand to give some extra time to check out not with their dotted time to recall you to vacate it. It’s a first hotel till date I had seen to ask the customers to move out!!
They are not allowing you early check in even a half an hour so very careful before booking it with them with their specific in and out time policies.
Staff’s are very cooperative and good.

Raving review!! Rocky start. We arrived at midnight from the island and didn’t notice we needed to give advanced notice arriving after 9pm. Locked door. No answer to buzzer. Drats! Frantic, tired, with my partner already starting to research ninja camping spots nearby, I reached out to the online web-support. It was a long shot, but I was hanging on to the hope of a bed... A message resembling “A human will be with you shortly...” exceeded our expectations. A real-live human named Grace appeared within minutes from the heavens. We had our code to flop into a comfortable bed in an adorable

Quaint 1908 hotel located on one of the prettiest streets in an attractive part of downtown Chilliwack, easy walking distance from everything. Rooms spotless and hotel has a vintage look and appeal. AC system in room was a tad noisy, as are the passages right outside the rooms in spite of passage carpeting. Surprised to note that no fridge, microwave, iron or ironing board in the room. There is a shared fridge and microwave in a communal area, and the ironing board and iron was also shared. Although there’s street parking in front it’s limited duration, there is a parking lot with some reserved

Front desk staff was great. Stay included a free breakfast, which we were very happy to take. But when we sat down for breakfast the server was blatantly rude to us. No acknowledgement when we said thank you. We walked out and did not receive our free breakfast because of this waitresses demeanor. When exiting the hotel, the woman even had the audacity to give me a glare. 3 stars for front desk staff, otherwise it would have been a 1 Star.

This was one of the oddest lodgings I've ever stayed at.
Not being local, it's definitely on me to not have done my due diligence in investigating Chilliwack a little - and understand that they have horrific drug and property crime issues. The facility cameras at the front counter should have been my first cue.
We had arrived after the first cold snap of the season - and the hotel had not yet switched over from air to heat. The room was colder than outside, and the desk staff said that the night shift may know how to handle it (said staff never made his presence known via knock

I'm talking about the cafe here. (The hotel has been around for a long time. Refurbished, a great old building, with lots of historic atmosphere and photos. Love the place.)
Anyway, the cafe.
When you go somewhere at meal time and it's crowded with happy eaters, you're at the right spot!
A varied, extensive menu with some nice surprises, ie, Huevos Rancheros
Have been there for lunches mostly, and every time have come away more than satisfied, with the good service, and the food.
Today, a Caesar Salad, with wonderful home made dressing, and croutons. My wife had a burger and fries

The Royal hotel cafe is fantastic...the all day breakfast menu has regular breakfasts with home made scones and a choice of omelettes, skillets, and eggs Benedict with home made hollandaise sauce!
The prices are decent, $6.60 and up, and the service is very good at different friendly.
After 11 am you can order liquor, so if you want a beer with breakfast, you can have one.

I found this hotel when researching a place to stay whilst I attended the Barn Burner BBQ Competition. I was drawn to it because it wasn't a standard chain hotel and the pictures on the website showed a unique opportunity to go back in time.
Upon arriving the first thing I that hit me when I opened the lobby doors was a familiar old smell. The smell was old wood, old furnishings, that reminded me of a cross between my grandmother's very old home and an old library I used to visit as a child in Georgia. To me it was a comforting smell and I was immediately happy!

We chose this over the more modern hotel and got a place with a lot more character. An american breakfast with a choice of bacon & eggs or pancakes at the diner/salon was included. If you book it online through booking.com the restored room with hardwood floors, antique furniture and claw-foot tub comes out to $74 for two people per night.

What a charming place. Stayed in a heritage room. The old wood and century stylings were wonderful. Clawfoot tub and sink in the main room and a tiny teeny little 2.5' x 2.5' toilet closet. Bed was comfortable enough, but if you are very particular about the firmness of your mattress, it might not be the best for you. The fluffy comforter was so snuggly! Neighbours upstairs got up early and since there are no carpets on the floors and old floors, it was a little loud. Pleasant staff. Wonderful look back in time.

Ok I usually do everything I can to promote a downtown business but my last meal raised some serious concerns. My wife is celiac, so it was great that they would make enchiladas with corn tortillas, but when we went last time the waitress told us they couldn't do it. We told her they had done it before, she said no. Then she made a point to come back to the table to tell us that whoever had told us they gave us corn tortillas had lied to us. So they obviously don't mind poisoning their customer's. What if we had a serious peanut allergy and had sent someone to the hospital. Would

I went to the restaurant in the Royal Hotel with my grandma, my sister and her two kids. The service was friendly, although a little slow-paced for my liking. That's just my own personal preference, being from Vancouver where we all feel rushed when going out to eat. This place is more laid-back and casual.
Our food arrived in a timely fashion and it was pretty decent - the portion of yam fries with my burger was huge - plenty for sharing with the rest of the table. I prefer to go by my grandma's experience more than mine, because I felt that she is more of the target customer as

GORGEOUS PLACE
Old style charm. Beautiful surroundings. Just magical.
Cafe:
Friendly servers. Professionals. Delicious food. It's like being transported back in time. Prices seem to have timewarped back a few years as well; very affordable.
